I asked Seth Killian personally and he said the MH team turned down being in MVC3.

Specifically they have said they don't want a generic hunter character representing the game. I've already offered my perfect solution in the form of Rajang. But I'd like to see Capcom just do something silly and put Deviljho or something in.

I think Smart Bombs are outdated as hell. Other than that, how could they make Tony more modern in the VS series?

It's a shame this didn't get "leaked"'a couple days before PSX because I feel the hype is slowly dying again, we pretty much have it confirmed by various sources now we are just simply playing the waiting game. Damn those pesky leakers. If this was revealed on Sat it would have been amazing.
It's not confirmed, but the reason is that Marvel doesn't support X-Men, because Fox has the movie and TV rights.

Movie rights of FF and XM being held by fox has made Marvel overall downplay those brands in an attempt to reduce their value enough so fox lets go the rights.
Part of how Marvel has done that is banning characters from either franchise on videogames.

Lupinko may have taunted rumors of XMen being in, including some old classic often asked for faces from MvC2 and a few returning from U/MvC3 and a couple new ones I'm excited to see if true. Marvel not allowing XMen chars so far is the rockiest rumor about the game, so don't let it grip you in fear.
As someone stated before, it's not law or anything that Marvel won't allow Capcom to use XMen. It's all conjecture because Marvel has restricted lots of use and publicity for the Fox-owned XMen before, as if trying to starve Fox off the license, but there have been many instances of allowed use of the Xmen chars as well.

I think UMvC3 Spidey is more fun than both of those characters, he just needed buffs and some better hitboxes. Had a lot of needlessly precise/iffy hitboxes and timings for not very much payoff. But his speed and sense of momentum from the S+Attack move, as well as Web Swing was always a blast to me. Not to mention Spider Sting knockdowns and stuff.
I wouldn't mind a changeup actually as long as they keep the S+Attack move heh.
That's what they've been doing and he's still not that interesting. He doesn't really need a dragon punch-like move and his supers are all boring, so they can lose those for starters. Better off just gutting and redesigning.
IF this is really happening, it is really a shame this got spoiled. I can't even imagine what a reveal out of nowhere would have been like.
Maybe adding a move with his micro missiles, Some kind of shield or defensive move, I remember he had this kind of vortex attack in X-men Legends 2. I feel like he has a lot of potential but I can't think of much at the moment, Im not much of an Ironman fan but for a guy in a robot suit his moveset seemed lacking in MVC3

As far as post-CoC video games go, this is false. Of course, CoC or games made before CoC (like Marvel Heroes) are in the clear, but all games released afterwards have no Fox characters whatsoever. Of course, there's still that rumor that Marvel may ease up on the supposed restrictions next year, but (like the existence of MvC4) that's still to be proven. Hopefully the rumor is true, 'cause Marvel Entertainment's current actions on the matter are beyond petty.

I love Spider-Man, but I always felt the super move was visually underwhelming. They could make a more visually appealing super with the same start/end properties, but with a better cinematic. It was fine when the games were all sprites, but it's boring now.
Which are the ones Lupinko teased again?
Marvel has Spidey in their movies now.

We all know the reason why X-men/F4 won't be included is because it does nothing for Marvel's Cinematic Universe. I'm hoping Capcom is going to push for some core staples though.

Yeah, I'd agree with you on swapping Cap for Rocket for the initial reveal (to rep the Guardians from the start). As for the newcomer, while Black Panther would be sick, I could also see them going for Captain Marvel or Ms. Marvel just to have a female reveal on the Marvel side. Though if Capcom managed to bypass the ban, I wouldn't be surprised if Wolverine was in the initial reveal to quell our fears.

She could alter memories. Re-write them, rearrange them, steal them, erase them altogether. This is the fringe pick I'm hoping for on the Capcom side of the fence.
I think Cap has to be there his rival would be Ryu instead of wolverine.
I mean, Iron Man could be Ryu's rival for a Rich vs. Poor thing. That plus I doubt that Marvel would want to hold off on revealing Iron Man of all characters.

Maximum Spider is a perfectly balanced super. UWT is also very good and in fact broken in some cases.
Maximum Spider is a combo hyper and it goes through projectile. You can punish some stuff with it, it has utility.
UWT is a reset and set up throw. It is in fact broken in some cases and can lead to a full team kill. You get a full combo off of UWT.
Spider Man is a very strong character in Marvel 3 and plays very much like how you would expect Spider Man to play in these types of games. He is just hard to play and has some awkwardness/learning curve to him.
