There's a part of me that really could see Capcom finding a way to sweet talk Wanda (and maybe Pietro?) into the narrative.

If the Lego guys were able to make it work, what kind of deal were they able to cut that Capcom couldn't?

True, but the Lego guys had the compelling argument of them covering Age of Ultron. I'm not sure if Capcom could have a comparable excuse.

But if Wanda DOES get in, I'm definitely maining her.
 
Can someone tell me why Marvel was opposed to putting the twins in LEGO Avengers and TT had to argue for their inclusion if they are leading characters in AoU and Wanda herself a major player in Civil War?

I'm honestly not sure. Marvel Entertainment also shot down Avalanche's pitch for Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch in Disney Infinity 3.0.
 
If we get a MvC4 with Squirrel Girl and Kamala Khan in it I'll preorder the fanciest edition possible as soon as I'm able to.

If it's just one of those two I'll still think about it.

If neither are in it I'll probably buy it anyway.

If it doesn't exist, I'll just feel bad for a day or two that I bought into the hype.
 
Man Wanda's (and Pietro I guess) is just weird. From the looks of it, its only really effected Disney Infinity, Avengers Alliance 2, and Future Fight, with the Lego Avengers being spared because she was in Age of Ultron. But you would think with that type of qualification, and Marvel retconning the twins into not even being mutants anymore, she'd be in the clear for this sort of thing but if something like Future Fight is going to add in Proxima Midnight and Warwolf (who'd be pretty cool for MvC4 mind you) but not Wanda, then there's still got to be something up.

There's no way Devil May Cry gets more characters than Resident Evil.

It likely will depend on what comic/movie arcs are going to be adapted into Earth-30847 this time around.

If it's a fast and loose adaptation/amalgamation of Age of Ultron + Civil War + pre-Thanos/Infinity War, with Capcom's brand of misfits thrown into the mix for good measure? Well, then you got good reason to have at least one of the Maximoff twins on board, if not both.

I know Perlmutter wants to protect his interests, but I just would really like to see the twins have a chance to strut their stuff. Especially Quicksilver, for two reasons: one because I would love to see what Capcom's fighting game designers could do with a "speedster" (after NRS had their shot with Flash in Injustice), and two, because at least making him Vergil's new rival would be a nice way to keep some "continuity" from MvC3. Even if all references to Piotr being Magneto's son would be stricken from the record...

I personally wouldn't mind at all. He's right up there with X as far as having infinite potential for a moveset, AND he can freely use Sword Chips too.

But I distinctly remember when the idea of Megaman.EXE for MvC3 was booed on a stream years ago, so I'm not sure if opinions have changed since then.

Megaman X needs to be in this game and if he isn't, there's just no excuse. If they put any other Megaman in ahead of him we'll be getting the "gimme X dammit" thing we've seen since MvC2. They know what fans want, he's always in these polls, they gotta give him it. With all these changes that might be going down, give us someone we've been wanting for a damn great while, please. Yes all the Megaman versions can fit but even so fans want X, you just gotta do it for the culture. Personally, I'd give us X and then either a villain (Sigma or Wily) or even throw us Zero in his Megaman Zero form. Just something.

Either way I'll see yall in the announcement topic. Watch it be named "Marvel vs Capcom: Rebirth" or some crap.

How about Megaman Volnutt? I know nothing bout the Legends series but would that be accepted in Marvel?

That was actually Volnutt. EXE was in some other game.

He was fun in Tatsunoko vs Capcom so I'd be fine with him getting in.Wily for a classic rep, Zero for an X rep, and Volnutt for a Legends rep would be great.

Iirc MegaMan Voltnutt was in TvC.

MegaMan EXE was in Onimusha Blade Warriors. (lol)
