Well, to be fair, movie stars pretty much consistently have stalkers that enter their homes. So I think they're going to win when it comes to crazy town, at least in person. Online wise I can't think of one though.

The problem with /v/ and 4chan in general is that it could've been 1 person their representing them as a whole. Unlikely though. I'm not sure if we'll every truly know who did this to Phil.
But yeah, it might be worth checking out /v/ right now if you have doubt. They're just as puzzled as everyone here.

Let's pretend that everyone had to use their real names all the time. Would that prevent a hacker from stealing someone's identity and doxxing like this anyway? No. But there would be other effects, like people with Muslim names, or feminine names being taken less seriously, or being outright harassed.

Lol. It doesn't change much really, I was following this closely because Phil Fish was involved, I just assumed Polytron was a small niche review website or something. Knowing that Polytron is just his company really doesn't change too much.
Also just out of curiosity, how many times has he said "I want out." so far? I don't follow him, but I recall him saying this last year when he canceled Fez 2.

Looks like Sony get a discounted rate (in this case ~75% of a wholesale cost) and then pay for every 'sale'.

I can guarantee you Phil wishes his "nudes" were hacked instead of his entire life ruined. This is several orders of magnitude worse than any paparazzi shit.
However, you're completely right about sport riots. That shit ends lives. But I don't think the gaming fandom should be proud to keep such criminal company.
His Tweets are still protected, that link won't work for most people unless he's given permission to let you see them.
