For the amount of money some of these people spend on gas driving around the city to find another Popeye, they could've just as easily went to a less cheap fast food restaurant.

yes, KFC is bigger than McDonalds in China, they have roughly 1800 stores.

Also, Chinese people should have the stereotype for loving chicken because we freaking do.

Screw this fried crap, we'll eat it poached and perfectly white.

Asians love fried chicken too.....Every time I go to Taiwan, China, or Japan they always want to take me to KFC.

i love fried chicken, and those popeyes biscuits, pure heaven.

unfortunately i don't have the metabolism for it anymore. maybe i can get in on that KFC grilled chicken

Grilled or baked only please! I refuse to get any from FF joints.
 
Fried chicken is the shit but I can't enjoy shitty fried chicken like I could a shitty burger so I won't eat at a fried fast food place often. I like it if you get in when they just fry it because I do like Popeye's and KFC's spices but it's too hard to time your visits with that.

Watermelon is also good.

Of all the black stereotypes I always wondered why these were considered negative as I like fired chicken and watermelon as well. Who the fuck doesn't actually(except those allergic)?

It's not so much that liking those things is bad in and of themselves, I think the reason it became ingrained as a bad thing is because they were popularized by an early KKK propaganda film. It depicted blacks as lazy, shifty, watermelon loving buffoons that can't wait to eat chicken and steal white women. And it was a huge hit.

Not that most people think of that specific source anymore 90 years later, they just know it's considered inappropriate.
 
I must be the only one that prefers KFC over Popeye's. Popeye's seems flavorless in comparison.
 
I don't really think this is racist, rochester is just heavily black peopled in some spots.

Sometimes when I go to applebees, me and the people I'm with are the only white people there.
 
Oh lord, I avoided this thread for this very reason. WTF is with black Americans and chicken? I don't remember there being this crazy fetish for fried chicken in the islands. Is it really selective reporting? I honestly see more black people at fried chicken joints than white people, and they are way overrepresented in majority-black neighborhoods. It's fucking depressing IMO. I never seen a group fit a stereotype so well.

For the record, I'll go to KFC occasionally. I went often when they had the smoked BBQ wings, but otherwise, I'll take seafood or jerk/curry meat over fried chicken any day. PEACE.

I hadn’t planned on posting this but I stopped by a Popeye’s on my way home today to see if I was missing anything in the world of fast food. While there I couldn’t help but notice the black to white ratio. It was something like 4 black men to roughly 20 white men. This was located in downtown Panama City for what that’s worth.
 
Anyone else get grossed out seeing fat people eat fast food?

The "no chicken?" guy and the fat lady in the SUV who's crying that she now can't feed her kids freak me out.

Yesterday afternoon, I went to get an ice cream cone with a friend of mine and this pasty lady was sitting in front of the shop with these rolls of fat just cascading down her front... we went and got frozen yogurt instead.

Yeah, but most Asians I know prefer the kind of fried chicken without the breading. Unless KFC has changed all that.
