A tip for Switch screenshots even if it is a long way round, you can retrieve your screenshots directly from the Micro SD using your comp instead of suffering any further degradation by posting to social media.

Orcs Must Die 2 on the GPD Win, i'm still at the beginning but i would say it's a well made mix of Trapt/Deception(third person view, traps) and tower defense(hordes of enemies and maps with obliged paths to a point to protect) with a character that can actively kill enemies with a shotgun(the male one) or a magic staff(the female one), you can buy it now on sale for just 1.24 euro or something like that, a steal.
The only cons is the text size that's a little too small for a 5.5 inches screen.

BloodRayne Betrayal.... You know that the giant saw won't remain still(i hate this part)

It's sad to see this thread, one of my favorites, to be basically dead, well here my screens.

Earth 2160 on the GPD Win, it's a old rts that kicks my ax hard at the first mission on easy lol, but i guess it's my fault, i like it because it has customizable units and original structures, one faction need phisically linked structures, another has modular vertical structures and so on.

an example of modular vertical structure, on the left the basic one, on the right the basic one + 2 energy modules + 1 storage module

here the max camera distance

here the minimum camera distance + unit stats

The screens are rather dark because there's the day and night cycle and i guess i got those screens around sunset.

Wow, that's amazing! I love that series, especially The Moon Project. 2160 was a bit disappointing for me. I have no idea how you play it on such a tiny device and screen though

Some Titan Quest Anniversary Edition on the gpd win

what's more romantinc than walking on a seaside at sunset while killing undeads with your own summoned wolf?

I guess that with more things going on it could be harder to manage things without a true mouse, but for now the bad results are just my fault, i played it long time ago on a normal computer with the same results lol, that's why i bought it now, i want to finish it.

lots of scratches on Batman Armor(not visible here but the cape also have cuts and snowflakes lay down and then melt on it)

Yup, I made sure to only take pics when playing portable. It looks even better on the screen.

Damn, I'm pretty impressed. Not that I didn't think the hardware was capable of it in theory, but Nintendo rarely seems to care much for anti-aliasing.

Too bad there are no new race tracks. I'd love nothing more than to play it on Switch, but I already played a ton of MK8 on Wii U, bought the DLC, and don't care for battle modes. I'd buy it if it cost $30 but that's not happening any time soon.

Runs at 30 to 40fps most of the time, at lowest settings, 854x480 (IIRC that was the resolution). Some drops to ~25fps. Only a couple of FPS worse than the regular version.

Not sure if Switch games count here. First rule of the thread is "1. Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita screenshots only". Switch is a hybrid, after all. We don't include ipad games either, even though many of those are gorgeous.

Anyway, rules need to be updated in the OP if Switch is to be included.

Probably should update the rules, yeah. I think most posters here agreed that Switch screenshots taken in portable mode are acceptable here.
I wanted to join in on 2+2=5's fun of posting GPD WIN screens here, since no-one's yelled at them to stop yet. Thing is even smaller than the Switch, though technically they are PC screenshots.

Well the thread started in 2013...handheld mode switch should be good.

By that metric, Switch screens don't belong anywhere. They go here because it's a hybrid, they can't go in the console screenshot thread because it's a hyrbid.

Why not just allow Handheld mode screenshots here and TV Mode screenshots in the console thread?

Yeah, it should be noted for those who don't know that there is a difference between portable and docked modes. In the case of Zelda, the portable screenshots have more aliasing than the console ones, so it's clear that portable Switchshots should go here and docked ones in the home console thread.

My take on screenshots is that any device that can be played as a portable and has gaming controls integrated should be fair game for this thread regardless of the OS used, as long as its noted what device the screenshots are taken from.

Go for it, whilst the GPD Win is a PC its lower spec and games have their own visual profile and honestly who cares? It's not going to hurt anyone.

That was my logic, "why should anyone care so much," but there have been a couple people now who at the very least question if even the Switch should be in a portable screenshot thread.

It's all about the spirit of it. The original 3DS/Vita restriction was simply because they were the only portables on the market where it was possible to take screenshots natively. That rule was mostly about not having unrepresentative screens in here.

Would the GPD run Arkham Knight at all with everything at it's lowest settings?

I love seeing what it can do even if it runs the games at like 20fps.
Arkham Knight is a next/current gen game, i don't think it runs(as is, unoptimized) on the GPD Win, probably it wouldn't even run(optimized) on Switch without big dwowngrades.

As a general rule think of the GPD Win as a portable ps360, if a game runs on a ps360 then it would probably run on the GPD Win(but there could be exceptions, games on ps360 were heavily optimized while pc games aren't optimized for the GPD Win).

What framerate do you get?
At 720p it goes around 25-34 fps most of the time with peaks of 45fps and lows of 17fps, it usually stutters when "flying" big distances with the hook and the moment you enter in a new area, i think that in both cases the reason is some loading in the background.

Probably should update the rules, yeah. I think most posters here agreed that Switch screenshots taken in portable mode are acceptable here.

Yay! Welcome :D

I say keep the Switch and GPD shots coming. The thread wasn't super active without them, and they're both interesting to see.

Well, my wife ended up buying Mario Kart 8 Deluxe without realizing that there were no new race tracks - even though I told her earlier this month that I didn't intend on getting it because it was mostly the same as Mario Kart 8. To be fair, the back of the box says there are new tracks, when there are only new tracks if you're not counting the MK8 DLC, which is misleading as hell.

She was disappointed, so I hope she will enjoy the battle modes.

Anyway, Mario Kart x Splatoon:

Sorry for the double post, but playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe got me thinking about old 3DS and Vita screenshots that I took, and, wow, technology.

Obviously, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was originally a AAA home console game and ModNation Racers: Road Trip a cheaply-made handheld launch title, so I know the comparison is unfair, but I thought it was funny comparing the kart racers I was playing early in the life of the last three handhelds. If anyone has screenshots of Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed on the Vita, that would be nice to see as that is probably the closest comparison to what MK8DX is.

Oh, I have screenshots of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, alright. From the GPD WIN!

Quarter native res (640 * 360), looks fine on its 5.5 inch display.
Tiny text is the biggest problem for most games on the GPD WIN, but this game works well for the most part.
At lowest settings, it stays around 45 fps, rarely going into the 50s, and occasionally dropping in the 30s. At least, this was the case on the 3 maps I played so far.
I could push it further graphically and just shoot for a mostly stable 30, but I am very used to this (and racing games in general) being 60fps, so I prefer the ~45fps it gets at these settings.

Why is Transformed seemingly so demanding? 360p and not even getting 60fps seems crazy to me.

Not sure. I think on the PC version, the water and model detail levels can't actually go that low, so that's probably a big part of it.
If you look at the Vita shots from Jodast, the background models and water look particularly lower quality than lowest settings on PC. The textures also appear to be lower quality than the low texture setting.

Yeah, I do remember them commenting on the water shader back when it first released. Must be a resource hog, EDIT: Oh wait was it always 30fps on console?

Yes it is 30fps on console. Also just tried the game at 960x544 on the GPD, barely lost any FPS, only a couple more dips to ~37fps. Cool! Still stays just above 40fps, mostly.
OUCH, on Samba Studios it actually dipped to 19fps, and is in the 20s on the first water section. Darn

The game was fairly low res on console too IIRC.

People hate the amount of Marios in the game but Tanooki Mario is the GOAT.

Man, the music in Persona 5 was so catchy that I'm really hoping we get a P5 Dancing All Night game soon. Or at the very least, a P4DAN remaster with P5 tracks :O

Such a low resolution for Sonic Racing? Wow

Anyway some more Batman

the snow is impressive, you leave actual footprints and trails...

...and this is the result after a fight, awesome.

The most artistic/batman-esque shot i could do.

Beautiful Images

My screenshot ability in BOTW is utter rubbish but your sir have managed to capture the beauty of this game so wonderfully. I just love exploring the world and just experiencing all the different vistas the game has to offer. It's going to be hard for Nintendo to top it I think, but I'm sure they're capable. Keep up the good work Jon Carter!

Since i have a little "backlog" of screen to post(lol)

Egyptians shots of Titan Quest, it's good to see some unusual environment, more games should be in Egypt ot other less used locations

Ok these are the last(for now lol)

These are my summons that constantly follow me in Titan Quest, two wolves and a elf/nymph/nayad/whateverthegirlis

the cute thing is that the whateverthatgirlis doesn't just walk or run, she happily hops(and laughs) as you can see from the distance between her shadow and her feets... Mmm a petrified cyclops trying to cover his eye, i wonder what awaits me :P

Earth 2160, the screen doesn't do justice but it looked very atmospheric. Despite the very outdated graphics the mostly monocromatic and desolated martians/alien landscapes with fog, rain, day and night cycle are able to make the game look very atmospheric imo.
