Possible Mother 3 News?!!

Nintendo REALLY dropped the ball on this one. How can you not have a sequal to a game that has been on the top ten list for the past TEN years??

While it's no final fantasy, i think Nintendo should have tried to make regular updates to the franchise. A launch of this with the N64 or even GC would have certainly have changed the console race on the far east side of the drink, no doubt.

They plan to show games which will be released between December and February. I expect to see Mother 3.
 
Next Wednesday huh? Seems to be pretty consistent with the other Brownie Brown rumors. I can't get my hopes up too much though, they've been getting crushed repeatedly for the last 10 years.
 
For all the talk that Mother 3 (64(DD)) was nowhere near completion... this video seems to beg otherwise (okay, it might not have been anywhere near complete... BUT JUST LOOK AT THAT VIDEO!! I WANT THAT GAME!)

That's old, from Spaceworld '99. :) From Starmen.net:

All these signs of completion showed nothing. The game suffered further delays following spaceworld, when finally, in late summer of 2000, it was announced that Mother 3 was cancelled. The shock hit the Earthbound community hard, but Mother 3 simply had too many problems at the time. It was full of bugs and still not completed. It was also losing interest, as the new Gamecube system made the Nintendo 64 obsolete.

It would be really cool for them to convert that into a DS project, but I really doubt that would happen.
