Ok, I've always been partial to the DS, although I'm still holding out on buying one. Animal Crossing DS however is awfully tempting.

Based on those who went to E3 and checked out the demos, is the DS now a much more interesting platform? If so, by how much? (just a little? a lot?)

My biggest complaint in April was the software looked uninteresting, but now, I'm not so sure, and the previews written on websites don't do enough to tell me if the games are any good.

I thought it was nigh worthless before, and now I'll be buying one. Only question is how soon...

I personally was unimpressed by most everything at this year's E3, including DS and PSP. The DS's E3 showing was better than PSP's certainly, though that's not saying much. I did have fun with Meteos though, and am considering getting a DS if I can get it for $50.

I'd regretted buying mine since I finished Feel the Magic (which took about... 3 days). I kept it anyway and used it as an oversized GBA until I got my PSP, when I basically put it away until E3. After E3, I'm pretty excited for it again. I expect atleast 6+ games this year that I'll want to buy. Meteos is top of the list!

It depends if Phoenix Wright and Trama Centre are any good. The rest I could care less about.

I haven't followed the DS news but considering the dissapointing PSP showings, it's clear that after the E3 DS has won a lot of points.

Yep. Before E3 I was going to wait for a price drop or redesign. Now I'll be buying one in the near future. There weren't any big surprises, but looking at various media and impressions, quite a few DS games have gone from 'Hmmm, that might be ok' to 'Wow, I really want that!' in my eyes.

It's certainly proven it's worth in terms of support. I understand people still don't care for the design of the system, but it's hard to deny that it has some great games on the horizon.

I think one thing I overlooked about the DS which E3 kind of set me straight on is that all the GBA devs are now moving over to this platform. All the 2D good times we've come to know and love on the old platform are going to be there now. Sure, the 2 screens aren't always used in great ways, but if we want to still have our 2D fun it looks like this is where it's going to be. The few titles that actually bother to innovate with the touch screen are just gravy.

i dont know about you, but it didnt take long for me to get the hell out of nintendo's booth upon seeing all that DS mess...

This is why I love my DS. So far I only have Mario 64 and Yoshi's Touch and Go but I am really looking forward to a lot of the upcoming games. For now, my GBA flash cart has been keeping me pleanty busy and looking sweet on the DS. I hope to trade in my launch DS for an electric blue next month and just let the great gaming begin starting w/ Kirby. I got a PSP too, but I've mainly been using as only an MP3 player/Comic Viewer for now. Hopefully that'll get some love too soon and I'll be in gaming bliss.
