what do you do if you owned nothing nor recieved nothing in your taxes for this year or last? Cause putting zero dollars crashes the site

It’s a relief because I’m an essential worker as a painter in a collision repair shop 🤪 but in the last couple weeks our work has dried up and this shop is always busy. A few more weeks of deadsville and I’m going to be needing to do something. My boss is trying to get the small business loan to subsidize the drop in business but I can’t rely on that. I could do unemployment but my boss is a genuinely good guy and I want to give them a chance, they’ve been good to me. But I’m formulating mad plans yo!😬

Got mine. Went ahead an paid the bills I had due for the 2nd half of the month. I know this was suppose to help boost the economy but I’m hoarding it, it’s been a year since I’ve been able to keep a comma in my bank account.

Yes, and some people who did lose their jobs didn't

LIke people who were over the dollar amount last year, but lost their job this year. They still get the enhanced unemployment in most cases, though.

Others complained about a glitch in the tool that won’t allow them to move forward because they neither owed any money to the IRS nor received a refund for 2018 or 2019. Typing in zero didn’t work.

“I could not give an affirmative answer to any of these questions since I owed no tax and did not receive a refund,” one reader wrote. “Submitting the form returned an error so I tried again and answered ‘yes’ to owing tax and ‘zero’ to the amount. Error again.”

“We are aware of the problem and are checking into it,” IRS spokesman Eric Smith said.
