Post your favorite catchy oldies / favorite oldies in general

My reluctance to include 80s as oldies went away today.
No denial after listening to a selection of 50s faves.

It can be heard. Music continues to change.

80s Golden Oldies :

After being classic radio for 10+ years 90s turn in about 2 minutes., but not yet.

I wasn't expecting such good taste in music across the board. Jay and the Americas and Frankie Valley and the 4 Seasons are probably my favorite oldies groups.

Best humorous oldie.

Oldies formulas mixed with a variety of sounds of the time and translated into something new. Appropriately named.

A mashup of the following song with Ministry led to an appreciation of the original and the way the lyrics were sung and could be interpreted.

American version

All she wants to do is dance.

Going with a couple deep cuts for Judee

[Verse]
Fleeter even than Mercury
He flies inside the walls he calls his own
He came hidin' but now I see
He looks like everyone I've ever known
He comes bearin' a sacrifice
I know him by the rose that's in his hand
I've been listenin' to his advice
I hear the words but I can't understand

[Chorus 1]
His moon mirage is shinin'
Shiftin' the things that he can't endure
But all through the darkness his pain is pure

[Verse]
Fleeter than even Mercury
He flies inside the walls he calls his own
He came hidin' but now I see
He looks like everyone I've ever known
He comes bearin' a sacrifice
I know him by the rose that's in his hand
I've been listenin' to his advice
I hear the words but can't understand

[Chorus 2]
His moon mirage is shinin'
Through his veins flows a fool's gold flood
But through the rose in his hand flows blood

Another from 1989.
Two of the most unique voices with Fred and Kate. Cindy held it together and filled the necessary grounding role. Kept Kate's miniarias in check and gave her a platform to launch them.

lol people posting music from the 70s and 80s as "oldies". Im assuming this is now just a post any song before the year 2000 thread.

anyway im big into rockabilly

Heres one of my favorite tunes from that era ( that no one has any idea who wrote it) Its 1958 and its a woman having an orgasm on a recording...hot tune

some more great rockabilly

Some other great tunes from musicians lost to time

Love Ginny Arnell, she only ever wrote a handful of songs

Cookies were an excellent girl group that were overshadowed from some of the bigger ones

JFC... that's all music I listen to regularly. Does it mean that I'm an old fart at heart? XDDD

Anyway, this is one of my favorite oldies.
