nah their are a lot more permutations for card shuffling than powerball
That is what I said. You are far far far more likely to win powerball than you are to produce a card order that has been produced previously. The number of permutations of card order is unbelievable. (52 factorial)

wait y'all need to know you only net something like 46% after taxes so the question isn't "what would i do with $500M?," the question is "what would i do with $230M?"

We had three 7-11s in the area robbed within an hour(between 9 and 10 pm) tonight allegedly because of the cash on hand due to lotto ticket sales. One of the 7-11s was robbed less than 24 hours ago as well, and one of the cashiers was shot. Crazy.

Wat's da numba's, mang?

Had 18 for two of my three powerball numbers. My lucky number has failed me.

This ticket doesn't carry over if noone wins I assume?

Aww man, I didn't win. Oh well, at least I am assured of the fact that this is the same outcome that would have occurred had I actually bought a ticket.

Sucks that most states won't let you be anonymous when you collect your prize. I guess a blind trust is a good way to go if you did end up winning one of these things.

Why is there a prize payout for powerball only and 1 number + powerball when you win the exact same amount?

Bullshit. I matched a number, thought I got 4 bucks. Oh well.

That's how I would do it. Man I read an article the other day on the history of big lottery winners and it's not pretty. Murders, drugs, bankruptcy, and all other kinds of crazy things happen to winners on a consistent basis.

Do more winners pick their own numbers or just get the computer to print them?

I usually just toss a fiver and take what it gives me.

I always wondered.

I matched 2 numbers. Do I win anything at all for that?

No, unless one of those numbers was the Powerball. You can find the payouts along with their odds here: http://www.lotteryusa.com/powerball/

It doesn't matter. P(winning picking your own numbers) = P(quick pick win). So whichever one has more depends on if more people pick their own numbers or if more people use the quick pick option.
