I preordered this from Best Buy and am getting my copy delivered by… DoorDash.

I don't even know what is going on anymore.

I could believe that Doordash is pretty good for something like this in terms of getting something the same day/few hours versus unknown timeframes like Amazon lol.

Tempted to get this digitally now instead of physical. But not cuz of Doordash.

Best Buy has same day delivery with Door Dash and the UPS-powered Roadie. I had to use it when my monitor shit the bed and I had to get one delivered in an hour for my job.

Hell, even pizza places use Door Dash instead of their own delivery guys now.

the truth? the child is a bit unsettling, period...
that just seems like an RE Engine thing, that makes character faces look like that, in my opinion.

To me, all the modern Resident Evil character faces have an uncanny valley look about them. It has gotten better ofcourse. Mia in RE7 was like a mannequin, Grace in RE9 looks more real but still with a touch of uncanni-ness

good point. maybe it's the fact that it's a child that emphasizes the 'off', though i don't remember emily in requiem looking anywhere near as off as the pragmata girl does...

Game is preloading. Can't wait to start this after work today! Hope everyone will have a great time with this!

If that chart is correct, ~90 min to go. Thankfully I got my ducks in a row at work so I can go a little late today and play before bed.

I should take tomorrow off to play this game...

Hmm, yeah that was enough persuasion for me.

Heading to bed now to wake up early and get my dad game on. I'm never saying that ever again.

I got to play a little bit tonight. I'm looking forward to playing more Pragmata. It's a really good looking game. The highly detailed environments, the pacing doesn't waste your time, and all the unlock-ables. This should be good.

Bad ass preorder content too.

i'll only start after work later, maybe even tomorrow if we end up going out tonight.

But im keen, feels oddly nostalgic while new at the same time.

Having a great time. The game is super polished and well done. Diana is great and the voice acting is very convincing. I like the controls, they are tight and responsive

The only thing that I am a bit worried about so far is the difficulty. I am playing on Standard and it's very easy

I hope there is more challenge moving forward

Oh maaaan...
I don't get why "normal" difficulty nowadays is actually a "very easy/go through the motions" one and when a game like Cronos the new dawn comes out with an ACTUAL "normal" difficulty setting (like those of yore) professional reviewers/journalists® all go "this shit is wrecking me up, too difficult, therefore we'll have to knock some points off from the final score" (and fucking with a game's sales in the process), it's like, people actively try to have less fun by playing their 70€ game by finishing it in half the time.

I've basically set my PS5 to start all my games on "hard" (from the console's options) exactly because of this - and there's STILL some games like death stranding 2 which is still piss easy on hard where it's literally impossible to die for fuck's sake.

Make games hard(er) again

Some textures looks really bad on pc maxed out. Is this some kind of bug? Im still in tutorial, but some part of the shuttle close up or the printed robot looked really bad.

Japanese devs love locking hard mode behind bullshit requisites unfortunately.

I'm kind of surprised there seems to be no antialiasing whatsoever on Series X. Japanese devs lmao.

Apart from the git gud gaming gods most people don't finish hard games (that is, hard for the sake if being hard) anymore. Returnal for example, only about 20% of its owners have actually finished it. Same goes for stuff like Sekiro. If I were a dev I'd wonder what's the point in making my game so hard the majority will just chuck it aside after a few days - not very rewarding tbh. I assume most gamers want a relaxing experience in front of their tv's, not a blood pressure raising grinding session resulting in the cost if a new controller.

Jangs, trust me, i get it man, thing is, I'm not talking about maso-core® games like First Berserker Kazan, Nioh, Moonscars, Cuphead, Sekiro, Lies of P or what have you, besides, I too have my limits and I hate "hard for the sake of being hard" games myself, I'm talking about a proper, specific difficulty which isn't "push buttons for awesome while getting half asleep by doing so" by default.
There's a BIG difference between, say, the difficulty of something like the nameless puppet boss fight in Lies of P or the final, double fight in Sekiro where it can get to hair-pulling levels of frustration Vs something that almost plays on auto-pilot like the Uncharted games (on normal) or something like Death Stranding 2 where it's almost literally impossible to die for crying out loud...

A game with ZERO challenge is not the reason why people play games since at that point, you might as well just sit down and watch a movie.

And that's why majority of games have multiple difficulty modes so people can chose the type of experience they want.

Locking difficulty modes is straight up retardation with no logic excuse whatsoever.

That is exactly what i want from any game. It is entertainment. It is recreation. It is supposed to be my downtime, it is supposed to be relaxing, easy, fun. If i want stress, i get plenty of that from my work and family.

The game controls like a dream. Running maxed out settings on PC with PT and it looks and runs amazingly well, controls are super responsive too, might be even better than the demo. Diana is super cute and the game already introduced some cool new stuff 1.5 hours in. Also loving how linear it is with secrets to find, this will be a really easy game to replay, because of the level design and the super fun gameplay
