Pragmata |OT| Tactical Hacking Action

Finished it. Timer was 12 hours, but that's some idling here and there. I loved the game and wish we'd have more games like this. I have kids and I don't think I thought about my role as a dad at all. I'd love a sequel. There's so many aspects to parenting. Everything from love to hate (more anger than hate). This was a fun and beautiful game. The plot was serviceable. Nothing crazy. It does make me wish Capcom keeps making games that take place in space.

er ... how the hell did you make it 11 hours without seeing the upgrade terminal in the station where you can upgrade your gun, health and hacking parameters?

The game very specifically points it to you when you first unlock it.

Whaaat, dude I upgraded every other weapon (Shotgun/Grenade Launcher/Drones/Decoy gun). I guess I missed to notice that the pistol too can be improved. I'll need to check as soon as I get home from work.

No upgrades or twenty upgrades that can further be modified with mods. What's the difference?

It's on the other terminal - the one you can upgrade her hacking, your suit, or primary weapon with the upgrade materials not the lumen or whatever.

Feminists who don't understand men write the dumbest shit.

lots of strange reactions to this game. let's clear some things up:childless men do not have paternal instincts the way that childless women have maternal instincts (we observe this even in the way little girls play vs. little boys).men first experience paternal instincts once they have their own children - and typically, those paternal instincts are only ever felt for their own children, and no one else's.men are not nurturers. men don't gush over cute kids in public. men don't have baby fever. if a man wants to possess a child for any reason other than it being a product of his own lineage, he is likely a predator.and you'd be taking the feminist/radical gender abolitionist position to protest any of the above points.this should explain why a "dad simulator" game marketed to mostly childless men gives people the creeps.

& mary morgan's 'mission 5 minutes of internet fame' accomplished!...

Game is amazing. Capgod delivered once more. Played it on 9070xt, 120fps all the way up to the top of that fricking moon tower and it was journey I will never forgive.

I'm struggling to want to finish. I'm on the final area now I think. I shouldn't have gone for 100%ing the other 4 areas to keep the game a fast blast.

The combat, even though it keeps adding more tools, just ends up being repetitive and shallow. This issue may have been resolved with hard mode from the start.

The story took no major twists, and I feel like both Diana and moreso Hugh, have zero depth to them. There's no story pull through and I don't care about Diana at this point. It isn't like a film like project Hail Mary where you absolutely feel attached to Rocky.

It looks great, the weapons are punchy, and it runs great, but it loses its charm about 4-5 hours in.

I was impressed up until then it just turned into a ho hum slog. 6/10 from me. Maybe the final area and ending will elevate it more.

this is the single player Arc Raiders experience i was looking for.
my focus is on the pilgrimage journey and getting as many toys as I can for Diana. The random encounters with the clankers is just a bonus.

One name that immediately caught my eye in the credits -

Shoji Kawamori
. The fact that he worked on this game cements it as an instant cult classic for me.

I'm with you on this one. The first few hours were interesting, but the more I play, the more I feel the game is just bland and uninspired. The story is boring; the voice acting and the child character are well done, but honestly, it's not enough to keep my interest. The combat is just too easy and shallow. I wouldn't rate this game higher than a 6.5–7, unfortunately.

Graphics are awesome though, I really like the Pathtracing implementation

Can you try the Italian dub so I don't have to? Thanks.
I think Diana is very well dubbed in English. Not annoying at all.
Unistalled the demo after 15min, solving puzzles before shooting is not my cup of tea.

But why would you ever play anything with shitty ita dub? I havent used ita dub in 20 years.

Morbid curiosity to hear how bad they can make it.
Especially when there's a kid character involved.

I think this game could very well be in my top 5 GOTY, I'll see once the year is out, I love the gameplay loop. Some things that annoy me though:

The damn Hugh walking on his own, whatever the fuck is causing this needs to be patched. It's not stick drift, my controller is fine, but it makes platforming sections annoying to do. I have to constantly push him in a direction on ledges so he doesn't just walk off on his own.

Maybe I still need to master the hacking aspect of it, but sometimes I'll be in the middle of hacking an enemy and the panel will swap to another hacking panel midway through the hack and I'm like wtf was that. It kept happening in one of the trials I was doing where I was hacking those bots that heal other bots and you gotta maneuver around the red nodes and then midway through it just swapped to another panel and I was like WTF? And then I had to let go of L2 and do it again. I don't know if this is a feature or something in the game caused it to swap to the hack of another nearby bot midway through and mess it up. Either way it's annoying.

Having to redo fighting rooms after going back to the shelter room is a little annoying. I get enemies respawning, but going back to get a collectible and having to enter a room that locks down and fight all the waves of enemies again is annoying. Once you clear it once, enemies should respawn after going back to your shelter room but the lockdown shouldn't happen so you can skip those fights to just run through and look for your collectible.

Those are my 3 main complaints.

I must say the transition to shitty low quality movies from gameplay at the end was really jarring. It happened like 3 times. Why not stay in engine? Going from amazing PT graphics at 100+ fps to shitty fmv at 24 fps was truly something. Such a weird decision.

I did lunatic run, 35/35 achievement run and never ran into any of your controlling issues. I played on kb/m entire time. with mouse you just hold side button and swap right into end direction and it works. As for redoing fights. well, it's a bit of annoying, that's why when I backtracked I never tried to use fast traveling to save 2mins in a fear of losing 10mins of redoing fights, If you know that then it's your choice.

I spent like 20 minutes running around the last area of the first section because I'm missing one earth data thing and can't find it and it's such a small area too

I usually go back to replenish my healing and such. For the drifting, it seems to be a console and steam issue, lots of players losing both have reported it so far. It's so damn annoying, the other day I had to take a phone call and forgot to pause it when I was on a bridge in the city area and he just walked off the ledge. The platforming sections on narrow platforms are toughest with this though I gotta keep him steady and balance him like I'm on a balance beam.

I only was frustrated from these last challenges... due to how precise movement was of all things.

Before first boss, use line to go up. there's a holo wall.

thanks. i feel like the scanning thing doesn't pick up a lot of stuff i wish it did. but also kind of like okay guess i have to actually use my eyes again instead of just relying on scan/sense button to see everything
edit: nvm found that ability

Third boss kind of a letdown after how grand the second boss was.

Trucking along, the game's loop has not gotten tiring for me yet, still having a blast.

I just saw this. So PSSR wasn't enabled until now? Wild!
It was dead give away, when you see on certain clothing materials, metal railings you will see a weird effect something that's prevalent in PSSR1.0 games.

Aaaha I'd been powering up my pistol without realizing it was enhancing pistol attributes. But it still hasn't improved its rate of fire.

The ending and final chapter all around elevated the game a lot.

I'll say 8/10 in the end.

It's for building up heat rather than raw damage. Throw in the mods etc that work with heat buildup and you'll be R2 finishing everything all the time.

Fair enough, but I'm popping weak spots and killing the regular enemies much faster than their heat builds up with the regular handgun.

regular handgun is better always. I tried to build around heat increase but it was not worth it. I thought I played bad but then switched back to regular weapon and all was ok.

One thing I really dislike is the design of alternate outfits - why do all of Diana's have to have that headgear? I just dont like it, so permanent first outfit it is.

Also Hugh - half of them look like Master Chief. Same thing I'd like to keep the old visor style.. oh well.

Passed the third area / boss and moving into the fourth. Still enjoying this. Using the heat based weapon snd hack can really down a lot of enemies fast but I wish theybhad added more than one voice line for the R2 attack. Can lead to saying it 3 or 4 times in fast sequence. Lol

Overall just nitpicking this very enjoyable game. Loving it.

Holly fuck getting perfect in last terminal challenge was really difficult, it took me at least 100 tries until I got it.

I'm baffled by the hidden sector implementation. They should've had this available in the main game so players try to do it before credits roll. Plus give lunatic difficulty from the jump to select.
