Priebus has been fired as WH Chief of Staff, replaced by General John F Kelly

Is it actually that high among run of the mill GOP voters? I have a hard time believing that though I can't say I've looked at polls recently.

No that is very low.

Also, disaffected Republicans are also fairly likely to indicate as Independent if very unhappy their party's president.

Why'd you do it man?

Not with Trump's approval among R voters above 80%.

Republicans in Congress might not love Trump, but full-throated support of him is what it takes to get them re-elected.

I don't think he's been consistently above 80% with republicans since like May. Latest reuters poll had him at like 73%. Those are not good numbers 6 months in.

I subscribe to a few political podcasts, but never listen to them because as soon as the episode comes out (usually covering events from the previous day), something brand new is already taking over headlines. The pace at which things are changing is pretty insane.

I wish I had the audio, but yesterday that blowhard Trump supporter on CNN basically said "I've always felt that what Trump needs to do is be Trump. But it would not be in his best interests at this time to start isolating himself from the GOP. Ask me again what I think when this happens". I'm paraphrasing here, but man, I wonder what he's saying today.

If Fox News goes with Trump, and Republicans in Congress continue to get death threats from Redcaps, he will have no bully pulpit, no reach, no allies. Prep for the blue wave, or more accurately: a low red tide.

It's well past high enough to scare you about losing a primary challenge to someone who supports Trump if you don't.

Republicans aren't moving on Trump until the voters do, and they won't until Fox News does.

Good luck with that.

Increases the odds of split tickets in the general, I would think. Establishment GOP members just ceding over to hardcore Trumpers like that? Especially if he decides to go scorched earth on the party?

I'm pretty sure Obama had a good feeling that this whole admin would implode from the inside.

Maybe it's taking longer than we thought but it's happening.

Seriously these 6 months have felt like an eternity.
