If you get a metro card, you can drive to one of the stops (either Greenbelt or New Carlton is probably closest) and ride until L' Enfant Plaza. That is about a block south of the Mall and I think about 5 blocks from the start of the March. That is my plan. The trains start running at 5AM and they are standing up 12 extra trains tomorrow.
In addition, though pricier, you could catch a MARC train from BWI to New Carlton and then hop on the Metro there.
No he wasn't. The election was stolen through Russian tampering and voter suppression. Trump is an illegitimate president and frankly deserves to be forcibly removed from office and tried for treason.This.
He has been democratically elected, Americans have to respect that and try to win back in four years if they're not happy with him.
I wonder what the reaction would have been, had Ms. Clinton won the election and republicans decided to protest.
oh right, they defeated the british by smashing windows at the local starbucks! you right, you right

Seems hypocritical to protest this. If he does a poor job he will get impeached. People just need to chill
You are addressing rioters. The protesters are doing just fine and are getting their point across, thank you.looks like they're really getting their point across this time. bravo "protesters" http://wjla.com/news/local/protests-in-dc-become-violent-windows-smashed-trash-can-set-on-fire

Unsure, actually. This will be my first protest. WedgeX's post seems to have the best chance at attaining parking easily.nice! appreciate it man - any idea if parking is good around there? just hoping it'd not be too full, i know here in maimi the piss-poor transit has small lots
also can you get a metro card online? was thinking that'd save some time
That's essentially advocating a violent revolution, you realize that?No he wasn't. The election was stolen through Russian tampering and voter suppression. Trump is an illegitimate president and frankly deserves to be forcibly removed from office and tried for treason.

Rioting is the language of the unheard. You don't have to condone them, but do not patronize them.

No. There wasn't a single patronising comment made. Violence is unacceptable over a situation like this.
Am not a fan of the new president, however your a grown up society. If he fucks it up time will tell and it will be fixed. If he works and gets re-elected, there you go. Violence now is childish and wrong. Much like your comment.
The Boston Tea Party is one of the most famous political events in our country
Where a bunch of dudes destroyed hundreds of crates of private property
You can't impeach a president for being a bad president.
whats going on on sky news? is that a anti trump protest?

My friend, watching this unfold live, commented - completely seriously mind you - "i wonder how many of those are paid protesters..."
After picking my jaw off the floor i said "i think i have an idea how many" and left it at that.
Yikes
I agree. Democracy is a double edged sword. You run the risk of electing someone that represents your interests or someone that doesn't. When you let everyone choose, sometimes they make a choice that hurts them. A huge protest won't make him and his cabinet just say "okay, you guys don't like us so let's just call this a mulligan and do another election" that's not how this works. Are the people marching going to be pooling their money together to form a new political party or fundraise for a party they want to win? What are they doing on the municipal and state level? A protest is great, you get to go out, walk with people and let everyone know how angry you are, but anger that isn't attached to a detailed plan is just pointless. People who were angry with Obama didn't go out and organize huge marches and protests, they went out and knocked on doors and got people to vote republican in local elections. I'm not a fan of trump, but it's childish to think that "resisting" begins and ends with going out for a march. Donations to local human service agencies that fight poverty, provide free legal services, and otherwise take substantial ACTION to address inequality in a community is how you resist. A march/protest just makes you a giant target. Take them by surprise, don't announce what you're doing so you can get put on some sort of watch list.

The "paid protesters" shit becoming mainstream is fucking terrifying. It's like the ultimate denial. "Could they be mad that we elected a horrible human being? No no they must be paid by the liberal elites!"

Don't be blind and condescending. The man already spawned hate crimes and is installing personnel that can barely govern their way out of a paper bag. The only way you're not seeing patronizing comments is if you choose not to see it, and by the way you comment for the people protesting to appeal to their maturity shows your utter lack of empathy.
Boy, good thing you're not Judge Dredd.
