PS Plus titles of September 2020: Street Fighter V and PUBG

I thought PUBG was free to play anyway? Or getting confused with Fortnite?

Either way, I won't even add those to my library.

PUBG is 30 bucks in my country right now, probably you confused it with Fortnite.
Anyway same here, I don't think I will bother to download them. Good for those who like the genres though!

PUBG has been on PSNOW for ages and Street fighter got added to it in July so this isn't beneficial to me. But I know PS+ casts a much wider net than PSNOW

Havent tried pubg on consoles, interested to see how it is

Played it on PS Now and it was really shitty. Framerate is terrible on the plane phase, kinda get's better on the ground (20~30fps), sometimes you have to wait until the texture pop up issue disappears and the controls weren't made for a console. The only good thing about the console versions is that you don't have to worry about a cheater being on your match.

Really bad for people that have PS Now, what's the point? I know most users 'just' have PS Plus but it's loss value for the ones who have both.

There's also a lot of licence issues for the users that try to keep PS Plus games if you have them from PS Now. :/

Question, can I "purchase"the free psn games on the web or the app? Sold my PS4, waiting for ps5. When I get the ps5, will I be able to re download for free because I already claimed them on my account?

Cheap games. Can't say I'm thrilled.

It's actually a good thing when fighting games get on here though and it can help boost the player counts, which is always needed.

Both "good" games, overall. This is long overdue for SFV, IMO, but now that they've another year to fill and a whole bunch of DLC to sell, it's sensible.

PUBG is simply not for me, nor is BR generally.

Have SFV already, wanted to try out pubg, but never was willing to pay 30 or 20 bucks for a BR that should be f2p. So it being on psplus is cool.

That's pretty sweet.

Always wanted to try PUBG but never thought it was worth buying, so I'm cool with this.

Least I get to try it, run around for hours looking for loot, get shot out of nowhere and die, try again another 10 times, before uninstalling the game.

is there a single-player campaign like mortal combat to this or is it just multiplayer

You mean SFV? yes there is, you have to download it tho (it's free)

here's the trailers:

i'm feeling nostalgia about all this already lol

Already have SF5 on PC but I guess this is cool. PUBG I will claim and probably play... eventually. I do think of it as a solid month despite offering me little.

Street Fighter V had a weak start because back at launch had very little content specially for single player and many tech issues, but they fixed basically everything and added a shit ton of post launch content.

It improved a lot, now it's the best fighting game of the generation and still one of the most played fighting games on its 5th year. It's also selling well recently, it will reach 5M units sold very soon, probably before putting it on PS+.

It has many single player modes, as I remember they are:
  • A 'main story mode' which is basically like a long movie with many cinematics and battles using many different characters, and fighting even NPC characters that aren't playable in the rest of the game
  • Character stories: short prologues stories with a few easy battles to explain how or why the character joins the game
  • Arcade mode: the biggest arcade mode ever seen. Offers 6 paths (SF1, SF2, SF Alpha, SFIII, SFIV, SFV) that remembers the story of characters of these games. Has Udon drawings for the endings and unlocks a shit ton of illustrations when completing it on different conditions
  • Survival mode: Fight a certain amount of characters with a single health bar, using and unlocking boosts and perks
  • Training and Versus CPU: you know, they typical stuff
  • Trials: practice different combos for each character (variants for each season)
  • Demonstration: watch videos explaining what each character can do
  • Extra Battle: rotating time limited fights against special enemies that you can only try a limited amount of time
  • Fighting Chance: gatcha lottery to unlock extra costumes and extra colors not included in the Champion Edition DLC in addition to extra illustrations and items for the survival mode using the in-game money you earn in the other game modes
All this is included in the SFV 'vanilla' version that comes with PS+, which is crossplay with the PC version and all the other SFV upgrades they released, which are basically free upgrades of game modes, gameplay features, fixes and rebalances.

This SFV 'vanilla' version comes with 16 characters and some costumes. You'll be able to unlock some extra character, color, costume or stage, but if you want the complete package you'll want to buy the "Champion Edition Upgrade Kit" DLC. It will give you access to:
  • 40 characters (all the ones released until now)
  • 32 stages (all the ones except the 4 from CPT DLCs)
  • Over 200 costumes and hundreds of colors (all the ones except the CPT DLCs and the ones unlocked in Fighting Change mode, and a few promotional Redbull ones)
  • All the DLC music tracks (SF2 music tracks, from the main story, tracks from other Capcom games unlocked in the Extra Battle mode, etc)
  • Many user titles and icons

Once you have the Campion Edition upgrade, the only DLC you can buy is the CPT ones, which money goes to fund the prizes of the Capcom Pro Tour and Capcom Cup SFV eSports events. Each CPT DLC features a few costumes, a new color for the main costume of the character and an awesome ring stage.

PS Now gives you access to over 700 games through streaming, being many of them downloadable.

There's no issue with the license, when added to PS+ you just need to add them to your library or download them. If these are PS Now games they will continue in your library if you continue with PS+ and quit from PS Now. If you forgot to do that when they were at PS+, they won't be linked to your game library, so will go away with PS Now.

I remember how the ps+ was strong in the endlife of ps3.
Different strategy for Sony.
The ps+ is really weak for this endlife of ps4. Where are those God of War, Uncharted 4.1, Horizon Zero Dawn, combined with great indie games each month?
