PS Plus titles of September 2020: Street Fighter V and PUBG

I remember how the ps+ was strong in the endlife of ps3.
Different strategy for Sony.
The ps+ is really weak for this endlife of ps4. Where are those God of War, Uncharted 4.1, Horizon Zero Dawn, combined with great indie games each month?
Uncharted 4 has been given , this year has had better offerings overall than previous. Horizon recently went to PC so probably not for a little while yet. We probably could see God of War before a new one is announced

Load times kill SFV.
DBFZ, Guilty Gear and BlazBlue all load up far, far quicker. Quick, snappy load times are essential for 2d fighter.

I think SFV is basically giving everyone the base version because SF6 is a ways out and SFV can easily be upgraded to CE and load times, textrures and shadows will all hopefully be fixed on PS5...

So people can play the upgraded SFV for free or on the upgraded one and be part of the community, dropping in and out of fights with friends.

Really bad for people that have PS Now, what's the point? I know most users 'just' have PS Plus but it's loss value for the ones who have both.

There's also a lot of licence issues for the users that try to keep PS Plus games if you have them from PS Now. :/
Well, usually on PSNow sooner or later they'll leave the service. PS Plus monthly games are yours forever(*)(**)

(*) you still must be subscribed
(**) game servers need to be up and running

Both of these are already on Ps now like. They need to scrap ps+ games altogether drop paid multiplayer and make ps now the go to place for games

Too much free money would go to waste for Sony. Plus literally prints money.

Havent tried pubg on consoles, interested to see how it is
Its fucking terrible.

The textures are shit tier (its PS3 level)
The pop-in is really bad
The frame rate is all over the place
The mobile version of this game runs better on high end phones

I own it and tried to play it many times last year but every time i boot it up, the above issues just put me off.

I don't know how much has changed since then but the mobile version is making a ton of money for them. I think they might have given up on the console side of things.

PUBG has been on PSNOW for ages and Street fighter got added to it in July so this isn't beneficial to me. But I know PS+ casts a much wider net than PSNOW

That's true. If you've got PS Now, then you're not really getting anything new here.

I haven't played PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, but I bought Street Fighter V on disc the day it came out, and it is an excellent fighting game. It had a rocky start, but now it's packed with content. If you like fighting games at all, you owe it to yourself to play this game!

I bought PUBG a few months ago, I spend about 3 minutes parachuting to earth for some punk to blast me as soon as I landed weaponless. Deleted it. Looked and felt like a PS2 game.

SFV is good but who is really interested that hasn't already bought it?

I too prefer indies games, most people buy big games like Street Fighter when they release, but then years later the publishers take advantage of it after its bottomed out and try to scrape up some microtransactions. You notice it's always the base game they offer, even when the upgraded version has been on sale for years.

PSNOW is not available here in Australia and we are a major country that usually gets everything first just like US, Europe and UK etc.

Yes, that's why I added the last sentence of my post. It still sucks for current PSNOW subscribers that are essentially getting nothing new. But it's not that big of a deal.

I know what you mean but in reality there's problems in keeping the PS Plus game if you already have it on PS Now.

So how much to get sf5 running at full with all characters And stages (assuming we get the base vanilla version for free here)? I don't really care about costumes or extra music.

It's been a while since I've downloaded a PS+ game but does this mean after this month I'll be able to keep fall guys without paying for the full release? That's awesome

SF5, oeh nice! :lollipop_grinning:

What expansion/DLC do I have to get for it to be the full fat SF5 experience* ? Is it the champion edition upgrade kit?

You don't need to download the games, but you have to add them to your library. You can do it via browser too, you don't need to go on the console store :)

I'm sorry, I don't have PSNow, but I read somewhere that they are addressing this issue. Dunno if they already fixed it, I hope someone who is more informed on the matter could explain.

So after a stellar month things were bound to drop off ,but SFV a 4 1/2 year old game and PUBG a 4 year + (3 ish on PS4) . Talk about letting you down. Oh well here's to a better October!

Is it the base version with like 12 characters? lol

Explain more!!!
With every different account that you start SF5 with you can easily farm about 500k Fight Money by going through the story modes, trials, survival mode and other stuff.
Meaning 5 free characters per account (maybe even more). So you just need six additional accounts besides your PS Plus account to unlock all characters...

Have people tried this method before? Did it work?
