PS2 SF Anniversary Controllers = $14.99 @ gamestop.com & ebgames.com

That's unfair! I payed $25 a piece for two of those controllers and I still haven't used them, not once (because my only SF competitor is not around), I feel ripped off.

Buy them! The packaging alone is worth the price.

Does anyone have any of these controllers?
Are they good controllers?

I have the Ken controller... I find it to be pretty responsive. I'd endorse it for a mere $15.

This deal is in-store too, at EB at least. But the EB near me only has one controller. I don't want ONE fighting pad. Buying one fighting pad is like saying you don't have friends or at least you hate your friends.

I have the Akuma one, which is nice because of the black scheme. If you can get over the gimmicky quality of the centered image on them then they're not half bad pads. I found the dpad to be pretty comfortable after extended use- and the buttons are of similar nature. Over the course of a couple of minutes it feels less like a hunk of wood in your hands and something decent. Bottom line: I intend to get another now that they're $15.

Xbox versions of the controllers are coming out later this year alongside the Xbox version of the game. They are expected to raise the quality of SVC Chaos from "unplayably bad" to "playably bad."

Any xbox versions of this, by chance? :D

Works with the PS2-XBOX controller adapters.

Beware, the paint jobs aren't durable at all and will more than likely scratch/fade...

The face button icons rub off very easily... Which looks better IMO.

Do you recall which PS2->Xbox adapter you used with the SF pads? The one I tried didn't work, but I'd like to get one that does.

I got the Chun Li controller for christmas! Can't wait to grab a copy of Street Fighter Aniversary Ediiton (or Fighting Evolution for that matter)... It was available in-store at E.B. Games in Canada!

I have the Ken and Akuma ones and they're pretty nice, but the lack of weight is a bit disconcerting for the first while. The packaging is A+ though.

I've got an X-Arcade with adapters for all my consoles and PC, but I may pick up this PS2 controller just to have one. For some odd reason I like the XBox Guile controller and may have to get one when released later this spring.

get an adapter.
If you can avoid playing with an adaptor, do so. There is no telling what the combination of random 3rd party PCB and adaptor from Walmart is going to do. There is no stronger case against adaptors than SF3rd; if lag is produced, your parrying goes out the window.

If you must adapt, adapt Sony 1st party PCBs only, they are the most compatible.

Again, input lag. Just as SF3rd is the worst game for lag, the X-Arcade is the most notorious controller for doing so.

I'm talking from experience on both cases. I've seen half-second input lag before, it ain't pretty.

I got the one Ken controller that was left at my EB. Before I could leave, my friend who was working the register got one of the AC sticks out from the back. WHOO DOGGY. If I liked sticks, which I don't, I'd have been all over that. Nice box, really nice stick. And the price ($59.99) is really not bad.

Just got the controller the other day, and guess what? It's good! The d-pad is pretty accurate and easy to use, and the buttons, while not perfect, are still superior to those of the standard DualShock 2. I guess I was wrong to be wary of it based on my Ascii DC pad experiences. It just looked similar. It'll never replace a good joystick, but for a pad this is really nice. I might have to get an Xbox one when they come out.

Oh, and the packaging and manual are pure quality. The manual is on nicer paper than most game manuals.

Are there any differences between the XBox and PS2 version of SF Collection? Or are both games pretty much identical?

XBOX Live Baby! Greasy arcade joysticks all over again.

Ebgames has the REAL pads pictured. Thankfully, they are the PS2 style.

Picked up the Ryu PS2 pad today for $15, the last one in the store. I want to get those XBox ones, but I need to know if they'll be compatible with XBL headset adaptor. If so then I'm sold, otherwise I'll stick with my X-Arcade stick.

I've finally put some work into my PS2 Akuma pad and for the most part I really like it. The only thing that bothers me is that I'll sometimes accidentaly hit the start button while pressing the other buttons since the start and select buttons are located right above the punch buttons. I also wish the cord was longer.
