My girlfriend bought both versions. The only reason she got the PS2 version was for Dante. Shirtless Dante. So, uhm, if that's your sort of thing, go for this. Otherwise, stick with the Cube one.

It's his own story line and my girlfriend swears the garbled audio they use is cut from the original DMC.

It is. But just backwards.

Dante has is own story, (actually for those that know DMC games the story for Dante is more interesting than it is for Joe).

Dante plays different though. Basically--he's overpowered, especially when you figure out you can actually juggle enemies DMC style in Viewtiful Joe.
