But the fact that there is not yet 720p support for movies is absolutely ****ing pathetic.
Excuse me but is your TV incapable of 1080i?

Currently you can not change the background. However, with the release of 2.00 "Theme Settings" shall be added.

By "more than meets the eye", I think Bish is saying that the list could really be true, but that 2.0 is not coming all that soon. More like some kind of internal list of stuff that's eventually coming.

God damnit...There's another post of hers here on the 2nd April where she says:
"Currently you can not change the background. However, with the release of 2.00 'Theme Settings' shall be added."
Was her account hacked on that day too ?

Yeah, sorry, I meant 1.8. How is any of this easily proven wrong, especially now that we have people in the industry (Bishop) saying that it's not just flat out dismissable.Woo-Fu said:1.7 was last month... Not believing this leak is one thing, but going out of your way to believe something that is easily proven wrong with about 5 seconds with google? :lol

I hate having to go through all my demos to get to the games I bought.

Under music icon > press up/down to highlight desired choice > press left/right to go through the folder contents.

ant1532 said:So does anyone have any idea of when this update comes out?
If I can have one thing be fixed though with PS3 after this update it has to be
REDO THE WHOLE UPDATING SYSTEM AND FIX THE WIRELESS DOWNLOAD SPEED.
Make the update as seamless as possible like Live and just make it one little progress bad and that's it. THAT'S IT.
ant1532 said:REDO THE WHOLE UPDATING SYSTEM AND FIX THE WIRELESS DOWNLOAD SPEED.
People get confused by less complex updating systems??? ok.... Sure.Core407 said:I think maybe consumers will be turned off by all of that stuff, but I don't know.
Yeah, but there is not a good reason for the the "I Accept", "Yes", "Yes", "Download", "yes", "Install", ect!Core407 said:I'm guessing if the PS3 has to be reset and the controller has to be plugged in, there is a really good reason for it.
ant1532 said:If it was a lot simpler they would just have one progress bar(50% is downloading, other 50 is installing) and if it really needs to have the wireless signals off(even though 360 and Wii both bypass this issue) it should just turn it off automatically while downloading then reset the system when done with the one simple bar and the controller is back on and viola!

I'd say they're doing something right.

Getting bricked from FW updates on 360 and Wii is such a small percent that using that as an excuse for the horrible system of FW updating is a bad reason. And if anyone has the right to say this it is me, 360's break hella more from just being defected not from being caused by FW updates.tanod said:I've heard of bricked Wiis and 360s after FW updates, but not PS3s, have you?

Core407 said:I think there were a couple posts about it here, but I don't know how they ended.
I do agree with the complaint about the constant questions they ask.
The interface is really good, but there are so many things they can do to speed it up and simplify everything.

I honestly (as well as other people I know) skip out on a majority of the updates because of the horrible experience of doing it. And the wireless connection does not help at all.
If I really want to update I actually have to put it on a memory stick and then install it from there so I don't have to download it via PS3.

it happens, it not like thousands of PS3s died but it can happen. still if you ask me i take a 20 seconds upgrade process over a 5 minutes one everyday, for the reason i've already explained
