The x1 won last holiday because it had a significant price drop and was cheaper than the ps4. I think the same conditions will need to apply for the same outcome this year.
Are all of those sold out?
Damn it. I would have bought it.
honestly think this changes the holiday NPD numbers greatly. Can't see xbox winning november anymore. even with halo & TR.
I think it will be closer than last year, but still expect MS to win Nov and Dec.
I second your opinion. But I also wander if MS is really that much desperate to win like it was last year, if so then they have high probability of winning this b year too with some decent lead because Sony still not willing to loose their profits for more market share.I think it will be closer than last year, but still expect MS to win Nov and Dec.
I dont think so, Last year MS had bigger 3rd party deals like AC and COD along with fire sale which helped them to win but this year Sony has all big 3rd party games (Star wars bundle going to sell great) except Fallout and cheaper price along with great line up ahead (next year early) with two conferences to carry the momentum. MS can only win if they do fire sale like last year otherwise its an easy PS4 win.
Personally I hope this pressures Nintendo to drop the price of the Wii U.
Probably not going to happen, but I can hope.

Nintendo can't compete no matter how much they drop the price since the system isn't getting any of the major third party titles. Might as well keep the system at its current price and get as much money as they can until the NX.
I'm wondering this, a bit.
Last year was about survival. This year is about sustaining a relatively decent marketshare -- very, very different situations. That may impact their decision on how aggressive to be.
Yea I do wonder how aggressive MS will be. Like you said. Last year was survival and marketshare.
This year HAS to be about profitability. People keep thinking MS will go down to $299 officially this year. That's fine if they want to increase console sales, but they have to start making money on this thing.
MS has basically never made profit on the Xbox Brand (Hardware) so why start now?![]()
I'm sure this has been asked in the course of the thread, so forgive me, but what can we expect on Black Friday? Is it likely to be worth the wait? I like the price, but no the games bundled into the deal.

God, I can't even imagine the beating that Wii U is going to get from PS4 and Xbox one this holiday season.
I also stand by my prediction that Sony will take every NPD month this year except April, and also going forward except when a slim Xbox One emerges.
Maybe then they might take a month.
I'm pretty sure he was referring to April 2015, so unless Uncharted 4 was released in the same month as Bloodborne, you misread, dude.except april?? uncharted 4 comes out in march so I'm pretty sure the PS4 triumphal march is gonna continue all the way
