The higher your level, the more trophies you'll need to level up. So the value of each subsequent bronze will decrease as you raise your level.

Tried watching Netflix twice the other day, both times it froze up my console. Literally everything else I've done on it has worked flawlessly :\ Hoping this is a software problem that will get fixed with a later patch.

Watched a stream of it last night on Live from Playstation. It looked pretty good. Steering the ship to different places on the map and getting off to explore. The guy playing and his wife in the background was hilarious. He was saying he had gotten like 700 friend requests. Not sure what's up with the Xbox questions in some of these streams tho. "Are you getting the new Xbox?" "Did you own a 360?" Those commenters should be talking about the actual damn game they're watching lol

I'm a little disappointed that they didn't do more with trophies. They still have to be synced and then its still the same list you scroll down much like PS3. The only real difference I see at all with trophies is that it shows you which ones are more rare. The big downer for me since I mostly game on Xbox is when a trophy pops up you still just hit a button and instantly see what the trophy is. Am I missing the button that you hit to bring up the trophy instantly?
Hmm I don't know if my replacement PS4 is coming today or not. Both amazon and UPS list it as on time but it only left Orlando at 6:30am today. Usually for all of my orders it leaves the place near me around that time on the day it gets to me. It wouldn't surprise me if UPS shafts me yet again, this whole PS4 event has been doing it to me almost non stop.

I have a samsung led tv and I am wondering if anyone else is having this same issue.
it appears as though things with high detail like trees and high detail textures seem to have a white outline or over sharpening effect on them.
the only way I have been able to get rid of it is to drop the sharpening on my TV down to zero which leaves things muddy looking. when I move the camera the white outlines or over sharpening seems to go away and then returns as soon as the camera stops moving. it almost creates a shimmering effect and it is really distracting I've also noticed it in almost every game I've played on my PS 4.
is anyone else noticing this I'm about to go out and buy a new TV hoping it would fix the problem.

Is it the same as PS3 in that it doesn't cache the trophy game images and downloads them every fucking time, meaning they slowly fade in regardless of connection speed or if you'd last viewed them two minutes before? If it caches them that would be so much better.
I think that this is a legacy limitation from the PS3 Trophy system, which then carried onto the Vita, and then the PS4. They'd either have to overhaul the whole system on two older platforms to make it more like the 360/One or have the PS4 on it's own Trophy system outside of PS3/Vita.
I'll deal with the syncing to have Tophies across three different systems!
You were right! It left my local UPS place for delivery at 8:30. It's a very unusual time frame for my deliveries but whatever I'll take it.

I can never find any game, only got in like 3 games total and majority of the time i cant find any. Seems like no one likes to play that game. I said it earlier in this thread but the spawn point in deathmatch are the worst i have ever seen. You could litterly stand one foot away from a certain point and just have enemies pop up infront of you for the worlds easiest kills. You could barely move out of the spawn points and if you did you would run straight into another.
I have only played 2 or 3 maps, the carrier, city(day), slum city (night) I dont know the real names.

Quick PS4 HDD question. I know the faq says that a replacement drive should not be more than 9.5" thick but every article i've read recommends drives that are 2.5" (i.e. laptop drives). Now that does that mean I should just stick with 2.5" drives or can I entertain putting 3.5" drives into the ps4? The reason I ask is because I see that the 3.5" are oftentimes cheaper and with larger storage capacities. If anyone can assist, i'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Strangely enough, my PS4 replacement shipped via Fedex from Amazon. Out of the hundreds (thousands?) of packages I've ordered personally and for my job from Amazon, I don't think they've ever shipped Fedex over UPS.

Alright PS4-2 is here. Packaging is definitely not an issue this time, the cardboard box is like twice the size of the last one and there's about 10 strips of those air bags on the top and bottom of the PS4 box. With the last box the PS4 fit but once it was in there was so little space left it was hard to get it out.

Correct. Sharpness should always be set to 0 for gaming.

Not true. On some TVs, no sharpening is actually 50, less than that starts to blur the image.

I have had my PS4 box sitting in my room for a few days but I still haven't picked a game up for it, yet. 1st world problems.
Which launch game got the greatest play time from you guys? I'm open to all types of games. I will shamefully admit I like CoD multiplayer. I like fast action twitch type games. Is Battlefield more "slower" in that it's bigger and more diverse as far as ways you can kill someone? I feel like the gameplay in CoD: Ghosts is too slow with the big maps and am thinking that Battlefield will feel the same?
The NFS game looks fun as well. Like all these games look cool but none of them I feel I must have or really define next-gen experience (like I got with EDF on PS2, or Red Faction: Guerilla with its destructive environment). I know this gen has just started. Oh, and Resogun looks really cool, too.
And some negative thoughts about reselling it has been creeping into my head. Fact is, I'm still having fun with my newly purchased PS3 with the Uncharted series, GTA:V, and look forward to Gran Turismo 6... I think too much.

Surprisingly the game that I've played the most is Knack. I wrote it off when the horrible reviews hit and cancelled my purchase, but I added it to my Gamefly queue. Started it Sunday night and I've been playing it every night since. It's definitely not a 10/10 game, but I'd give it a solid 7.5. I was thinking that Assassin's Creed would be my most played game, but I've put it off until I beat Knack.
The other games I've sunk some time into are Resogun, NBA 2K14 and NFS Rivals.
I gotta say I'm incredibly thankful for PS+ save data uploading. It's saved me a lot of hassle with restarting the first 30% of Knack and the first few (very boring) hours of AC4.
edit: :lol the $10 PSN code worked! I guess I shouldn't be surprised since this is a brand new PS4 and not a refurb. I guess a second $10 code is better than nothing for all the hassle this has put me through.

Well I can't necessarily say which game has gotten the greatest playtime from myself as I have too many games to play currently so I keep bouncing around. For your question regarding twitch shooters and Ghosts feeling too slow, while I do have Ghosts I haven't played a ton. My friend who is pretty big into CoD does enjoy it, and he seemed to like it more than BF4. Myself, I'm a huge BF player, triple dipped on Bad Company 2, double dipped on BF3 (PC and PS3) and put a combined over 430 hours into it. I really like BF4 bugs and all.
If you are playing a game type like Conquest you can definitely run into situations where you may not see people all the time even on a 64 player map. The maps are huge and conquest kind of gives that big battlefield area where skirmishes can occur naturally, but at the same time you may be somewhere off away from a battle. That being said, there are a ton of game types that promote nothing but a fast pace twitch kind of experience.
Rush can be like that, especially on a higher player count server like 42 player or an absolute crazy 64 player Rush. 32 vs 32 trying to attack / defend 2 small points on the map gets nuts. And the layouts do typically allow for multiple paths for attacks so you can still work with flanking manuvers depending on the map. Obliteration also gets fairly intense as everyone is fighting over the single solitary bomb that is always visible on the map.
TDM and Domination resemble CoD quite a bit, smaller map types, infantry only and can still have high player counts all the way up to 64 players. I enjoy all the game types, mostly I have been playing TDM and Domination to work on weapon unlocks myself.
For PS3/Vita games you cannot do so on the PS4. For PS4, you need to go to the Library, which is usually all the way on the right on that stupid horizontal list.
Edit: Or you can go to the web store on any device, even the PS4. Honestly, I think you should be able to see your download list anywhere for any platform and just have it so you cannot download games which are not compatible. Not sure why they locked it out this way.
I'm trying to download that extra content for AC4, the 600mb Aveline missions. Can't find them anywhere so that's why I was looking for a download list. The library just lists AC4 then takes me to the game page on the store and it's not under the add on section.

Quick question regarding cross buy.
I bought Sound Shapes on Vita and completed the campaign and was running the death sequences. None of that transferred when playing on PS4. I tried Cloud Sync but nothing happened. So I guess you just have to replay content for cross bought games?

Quick question, maybe I'm missing something really simple. Every time I press the share button and look at the recently recorded video, it's not the last 15 minutes of gameplay. It looks like its more like 30 or 45 minutes ago. Is this normal?
