Can I use the packed in mic when I'm streaming?
Also how do i turn on chat notification on screen when streaming? They're not working for me.
edit: figured out to use the mic. however, the "show comments in chat" option is highlighted and still isn't displaying stream messages.

I finished up CoD on the PS4 on Monday. It appears that halfway through the game it stopped logging the trophies I earned, even though the popup occurred.
I didn't notice this until after I was done and was unable to sync my trophies (kept getting an error).
Last night I reinitialized my PS4, reinstalled my games, and downloaded my cloud saves.
I am now able to sync trophies again but half of the CoD ones are still missing.

So to be clear Fracas, you see the chat below the stream, have Twitch open on a laptop/PC, see comments there but NOT on your TV? That what is happening? I know that chat can't be slow/delayed a bit. I have h to retype sometimes because my comment just never gets picked up.
Yep. I streamed for about half an hour, never saw comments anywhere but on my laptop. The box is there but nothing shows up. I looked at broadcast settings and the option is enabled. I'm on a campus connection and my NAT is closed; guessing it has something to do with that.

I have the same issue. Warframe also says my NAT isn't open, but Assassins creed 4 says it is/
I actually have my PS4 in my DMZ

Is there anyway to have voice chat come through your speakers while having a mic plugged in?
Is there a way to schedule a time for auto updates? Mine seems to do all of its downloading and uploading at 10:00 at night, which is pointless for me on days like last night when the firmware went up late and I got home today at 6:00 and had to sit and wait for it to DL and install like I did on PS3/

I know it isn't something that can be done instantaneously but they need to make plans this very minute. It is really hurting the launch. Its not a good start to selling Playstation Plus to people new to Playstation.

Well, for those in the convo yesterday:
I sold my XB1 preorder to a friend and made some extra cash to go with it. Searched across town today for a PS4, with no luck, but I picked up a few hints.
We have 2 GameStops here in town. The first GameStop said "Even if we get some between now and Black Friday, we have to hold them until Black Friday." This killed my mood, I was pissed.
Second GameStop, the manager there LOVES my car. We had a big convo about it outside of the shop a few days ago (I don't think it's anything spectacular). I walk in today, and he starts spilling what he knows. He tells me "I have 9 coming tomorrow or Friday, 6-7 go to preorders that didn't get their console on launch, blah blah" and that he wasn't supposed to tell me that information.
Is he playing with my emotions? Are GameStops all required to follow the same product holding procedures or is that determined by the "boss man" of the store?
Also: I'm aware Walmart and Best Buy will get more consoles, but Walmart always acts clueless as to when they'll receive more units.

Not sure if this was mentioned before, but if you go to YouTube.com/TV in the browser you get the same UI from the PS3 app and you can watch HD videos.

Have you tried stores that people dont shop often like Kmart? I've often found hard to find gaming stuff at places like that.

Actually, no. I tried every electronics retail store in town but KMart because I figured they wouldn't carry them. I'll check it out tomorrow for sure.

Ok my internet is kinda alright, but a 7 hour download for a 323 mb update sounds wrong to me. Yet it's happening to me right now.
Has anyone else have this problem or is my internet just that pathetic?

Does anyone know how the screenshot feature works as far as quality goes? Are they directly from the framebuffer? The quality doesn't look as good as what I'm seeing in game. Seems to be compressed. Kinda disapointed with this aspect. What's the point of taking screen shots if it doesn't look as good as it doee in game?

So I have really dumb question about sharing. I'm one of those weird people that never bothered to open a Facebook account. I wanted to share a video clip of cool moment in ACIV some of my PSN friends, but then it prompted me to sign in via Facebook. I've also found community chests and white whale locations and the game says that stuff is shared with friends. Can my PSN friends actually see that stuff If I don't have a Facebook account? I'm actually considering making a Facebook account now, but a few dumb questions.
When I share a clip does it go to the what's new tab on the PS4 dashboard or to people's actual Facebook accounts? If I share stuff, does that mean people have access to my actual Facebook account with my real identity and all that. If I do open up a Facebook account and share stuff will it go to just my PSN friends or everyone I'm friends with on Facebook like family and co-workers? I'd rather not publicize my gaming stuff with family or co-workers or my real identity with strangers on the internet.

I've known about the highest clock rate but never knew of the Turbo Core Tech. I also figured that the upclock on a PS4 is irrelevant as it would probably never get to such speeds in the context of consumer use.
PlayStation 4 CPU using AMD Turbo Core to go from 1.6GHz up to 2.75Ghz ?
For awhile there has been speculations about the 2.75GHz clock rate that showed up in the PS4 FCC Certification. Some speculated that it was just the clock rate of the Memory but today in a IGN PS4 review video the 2.75GHz clock rate has been shown to be the highest clock rate of the CPU with 1.6GHz being the base clock rate.
If you're wondering what's this all about I'll like to point you to AMD Turbo Core technology which push the clock rate up while using less cores to get the best performance out of the CPU when there is tasks that are better suited for higher clock rates but less cores.

For some reason one of my saved videos doesnt have sound, its of blacklight retribution and i was using remote play.
Speaking of blacklight retribution the spawns in that game have to be the worst i have ever encountered. You could stand right at a spawn point and just wait till someone spawns it doesnt matter that your one foot away from it. The whole match i could rarely get a few steps from the spawn point. Plus even if i did there was another spawn point not to far away.

The PS4 sitting vertical next to the TV looks glorious. My wife is sitting here playing Knack on Normal and having a truly great time. My daughter is jumping around at the puzzles and enjoying the game. The ambient blue glow of the controller is in the darkness if the room. The graphics are gorgeous, the crisp 1080p visuals and silky smooth framerates. Taking screenshots and making videos with ease. The amazing sound coming out of the surround speakers.
Man this gen is going to be AMAZING. Can I just also say how fucking wrong those negative reviews seemed to be about Knack? This game looks glorious and plays very well. I immediately played on Hard and loving it.

No. They are all sold out. The regional manager of our area thinks they will get a smallish shipment of new PS4's on Black Friday or right before though. He is not 100% certain but that is what he is hearing atm. Sounds like it will either be right around black friday or very early december for Round #2 of consoles. But the shipments will be much smaller then launch.
Something very weird I noticed: voice commands do not work while Warframe is open. Even if I'm back in the system UI. It doesn't even hear the "Playstation" initiation. I tried it about 10 times and it didn't work, and tried closing the game and a voice command worked perfectly first time.

Try completely turning off your PS4, when I first got mine the update said like 15 hours and everything on my network was brought to its knees with the PS4 even in standby. Once I shut it off I was able to get the update in like 10 mins off the website and install it USB.

It could be a coincidence but I have had no issues with Battlefield 4 since the 1.51 patch that Sony released. Maybe with another update from DICE as well, we might have a non beta like experience.
