I recall there is an automatic primary user log in.

I think it's system settings- adjust devices-controller- auto login. Or something close.

Unfortunately, there's only controller volume and vibration settings.

Well, hopefully they'll add it, and a screen saver option.

BF4 is the first downloaded retail title I've purchased and it downloaded in about 2 hours but its still just 27% installed. About 45 minutes ago it was at 22%. Why is the install on downloads so long? I installed the retail disc version of BF4 at launch and it took about 15 mins to install totally.

Are you sure it downloaded the entire 30 something gig file in 2 hours? It does the initial download so you can start playing the campaign but it is still downloading. You have to go to the memory management, click on BF4, and it'll show if its still downloading. Once its done there is no long install because it installs as you download.

You change change it to something else in your profile. So you could put your PSN name but have to split it into first/last name.

He loves Resogun and now is really regretting cancelling his pre order when GT6 was announced for PS3.

Asking this question for a friend of mine who lives in Malta (which SONY has abandoned for now).

Will it work if he imports a PS4 from say Scandinavia and hooks it up in Malta? Will there be any problems with games (region) or anything of that nature? Neither of us knows so I thought maybe some of you does before he decides wether to import or not.

You're right. It says 11/34gbs downloaded. I saw the download bar finish and the installed notification but didn't realize it was just for the single player. That's cool, I was worried I'd have to download it over again.

Yeah its not a very clear system, it needs to be addressed with an update.

The ones that came with my HTC One are superb and the Mic is damn good. They're proper in ear ones too.

Watching Desperado via Netflix with my PS4 and the HTC one earphones and the sound is awesome.

Anyone who's got Assassin's Creed 4, can they confirm if theres this weird, shimmering effect when near the grass and tree's?

Near impossible to describe what I mean, but when you move about in highly dense areas of foliage it kind of, shimmers?

I dont think its my PS4 as all my other games are fine, and I think I've seen this before in other games on the 360 and PS3, but it's bugging me.

Again, its a weird shimmering, some might say flickering effect when moving around in the tree areas.

Don't really notice anything, although Ubisoft is using this weird motion blur whenever you move the camera around. Did you install the patch that upgrades to 1080p + AA? That does help with some shimmering. Otherwise, can't really help ya.

Its not annoying, just, weird, lol

If you can use your VGA port in your tv (if you have one = no input lag whatSOever) you will need a HDMI 2 VGA signal converter. Night a frigging day, believe me, iv been borderline OCD about trying to get my TV calibrated (brightness + settings) and no input lag etc (even on PC port with evertying switched off + Game mode active, which was rated a good gaming tv, I still noticed)

VGA>All - Next GEN = great looking... im afraid of getting sucked into my tv, or my face melting

The Whats new section in the UK was available for a couple off weeks (atleast the week before - I got my console a fair bit earlier) before EU Launch, It was working fine on mine, they must have disabled it to save server load.. I expect it to be enabled shortly.

My PS4's blu-ray drive just made a buzzing/vibrating noise when it was spinning up the NFS disc

Not sure whether it's something I should worry about, but I don't think it did that before, the sound it makes is more of a sort-of high pitched whine usually as it spins up, and I've played FIFA, NFS and the PS3 disc of NBA (for the upgrade offer) without issue.

This time with NFS though, twice after it's spun the disc up it's made a sort of buzzing/vibrating noise which goes away when the disc stops spinning. The game itself appears to work fine.

Should I be concerned? Really hope I don't have to send this back, or it's just normal behaviour and I for some reason haven't noticed it before.

I never noticed the weird shimmering-flickering effect until after I installed the 1080p/AA patch(USA). Its probably related to the AA they implemented in the patch. I played around with my tv settings but could never make it go away. Turning down the sharpness did seem to help.

just play the game and you'll probably just get used to it. That's what happened to me.

It's called pixel shimmering, and it's quite bad with Assassin's Creed 4 foliage, and even worse with the 1080p patch. You can get rid of (most of) it by cranking your TV sharpness all the way down.

Depends on the game I think. NBA 2K14 downloaded about 6GB and will let me play a quick game while the rest is downloading. Only problem is "the rest" has been downloading for about 6 hours now and is less than half done.

I think most of my games will be on disc from now on.

Yeah that's normal, I think it's hypothesized to be syncing saves.

Not 20, but 10 seconds maybe for me.

But yeah, it can't guarantee a speed like it can from a drive... so I guess it sorta makes sense.

After a day and a half with the system i could 't be happier. I love the minimalist interface, it does everything i need.

Knack was a surprise as well as NBA2K, had way more fun with those than i expected. Most disapointing game has been Fifa, doesn't look a gen ahead of the current gen version but ot does play smoothly.

Great system experience overall.
