They don't need to be on to get in each others way. Heat rises and the WiiU will absorb heat from the PS4 and stop it escaping, driving up temps and causing the fan to work harder.

If you love your compact electronics like the Ps4, you don't stack them.

I figured this was a stupid question, I know enough about air-flow from building PCs but I thought maybe the PS4s fans were designed like on a GTX Titan when the air pulls through and gets exhausted on the back so the absorbing effect from the Wii U wouldn't be that bad... you are right though I shouldn't risk it. That leaves me with two options till the renovations of my new gaming room are finished... either I put the Dreamcast right under my TV rack or I will put the PS4 on the Wii U and move it off whenever I start the Wii U up :/

My son loves knack, he beat Lego Marvel on his 360 yesterday, FWIW i enjoy Knack more than Lego Marvel on coop, more challenging and fun.

I think the key is because of fixed camera and my son doesn't have to worry about right analog. But you are right, as much as he loves marvel in short sessions , at end he always revert back to knack. The playroom app is pretty cool.

One thing I've noticed in the 2 weeks since launch is that Sony is considerably more... lax... when it comes to Gamertags on PSN versus MS and Xbox Live. I had both the 360 and PS3 last gen, but did all my gaming on Live. This generation i've switched over, and.. wow. Not just in terms of "wow, that's really offensive," but also in terms of "wow, someone actually thought that up and went 'yeah, that's perfect, I should totally use that as my gamertag. That's perfect.' "

Not that Live was a walk in the park or anything, but it seems like MS was doing a bit more active oversight on tags, or had stronger filters on original selection.

I can't wait till some of these kids get a bit older, it's going to lead to some great conversations in the real world.

I think Sony is also waiting for Black Friday / Cyber Monday weekend to be over before releasing sales figures...to go along with the Euro press release.

Yes - it got pushed back, to probably launch alongside the XBO version. For now the developer is focussing on the PS3 and Vita releases, and the next Title Update.

It's a much better press release to say you outsold your closest competitor 2 to 1 on launch day overall which is likely what will happen when we can add Europes launch numbers to the US

Yeah long term it really means nothing. I think PS4s being sold out everywhere is actually helping Xbox One sell more honestly. Once stock is readily available after the holidays things will get quite a bit more interesting sales wise.

Odd, I've put myself as the primary user, and set on the automatic login. Yet it always asks whether I'm me or a new user, when I activate the controller from its sleep. Note, not the system.

Same. "ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE SO AND SO"? I double check the name on my underwear every time.

Never had that happen here. Definitely dig around the settings and I'm sure you'll find a fix.

Been playing PS4 at my house since it came out over my wifi with absolutely no problem. Great experience.

But, I'm in a new place now, and will be for quite some time, and the only option is to run my PS4 through and ethernet cord rather than wireless. This worked fine, great even, on my PS3. But on my PS4 I keep getting error CE-33987-0.

Anybody have any ideas what to do? When I do a connection test it says internet is connected but cannot sign into PSN. Help

You say nothing about how the cable is connected to the router. Does other devices work? Does it get an IP address? Is it connected to the LAN port on the router? Can you ping the IP from other devices in the house?

Yeah, probably won't see stock anywhere until Jan/Feb. Unless they are holding stock though I think usually most stores get shipments on Tues/Thurs and not on a weekend. A Target employee here could probably confirm.

After using the PS4 controller for a bit I prefer the PS3 controller. PS3 has better face buttons and analog sticks, plus I can't really get into the PS4's triggers for FPS games.

It's Europe, you don't get sales data till Monday. I'm pretty confident they sold more PS4s on 11/29 than they did on 11/15. You had the worldwide launch as well as Black Friday. I've heard they're pretty much sold out everywhere. There aren't fewer than 2.3m ps4s out in the wild.

Afaik its not available for us EU players yet, temporarily down to help with the network. It wasn't turned on the last time I played 10 or so hours back.

I like what's new, it's like a friend feed, but one thing it's sorely lacking is the ability to comment.

How much bandwidth is required for an acceptable stream from the PS4 (please technical answers only, not guesses) - I tuned into a stream yesterday and my line was pulling down an average of around 130KB/s (around 1mbit)
I'm curious if that's all that's being sent up though ,or if twitch is re-compressing?
