PS4 Pro boxes getting prepped

Slim to Pro wouldn't be as worth it compared to going from OG to Pro imo, unless you can find a good trade in deal for your slim and a good deal on the Pro then maybe and also 4K TV's are the only ones with HDR compatible, 1080p TV owners will have less benefits. Maybe you can wait and see all the 1080p additional visuals are enough for you

Yeah, that's probably the best for right now. Just was trying to figure out if I wanted to preorder one before it's too late, which it might be at this point. We're not likely to see those types of side by side comparisons till the FFXV comes out and such, right?

This being my first ever PS4, I have ordered the following games along with it:

Shadow of Mordor, Assassins Creed Unity and Arkham Knight

Can't wait for Nov 10th !

Don't buy a 4K tv so early - Wait for next year since the input lag with HDR is currently too high. The current implementations were likely not completely optimized for input lag.

Besides LG looks like it'll nail the next OLED TV and firmly be the best TV to get especially for fast motion (CRT excluded).

LG will need to make their OLEDs much, much brighter before they can do BFI for motion. Especially with HDR too.

Don't listen to the haters, they're awesome games!

Unity is best AC, Knight is best Arkham.

Only Mordor is Pro-enhanced though, but you probably know that.

Get Bloodborne asap

Can someone help me with my PS4 back up?

What is the best process, I have a 500GB launch unit and an external hard drive big enough to take it all. I don't want to lose all my Share pictures and videos from games more than anything. If there is a way to back up everything and j

Any helpful guides?

You basically bought three of the same game. Open word beat em ups with collectables everywhere.

you could've done so much better.

Ah yes. The three best games on the system.

Get you some Ratchet and Clank, Bloodborne and Gravity Rush Remastered!

That's a really confusing list of games.

Guys guys guys relax :P

I chose those 3 games cause I'm able to get them at bargain bin prices new, I'm waiting for black friday hoping for better deals to get things like UC4, GTA V and a bunch more cause those games are still damn near full priced. Bloodborne and Witcher 3 Complete are on my list and I'm hoping there'd be a bunch of PSN discounts too around black friday.

And there it is.

If Polyphony really push 1080p mode then it'll blow everything out of the water for the rest of the generation (but it must include dynamics).

Please...don't just push 4K, PD.

People keep repeating it, but there is no way most devs are going to bother going into that level of investment for 1080p mode, to put in extra graphics.

If they did go for 1080p, it would likely just prioritize a more stable FPS or higher IQ anyway.

Probably not considering you will more than likely get more graphical bells and whistles at 1080p than at 4k.

Not to mention VR doesn't require a 4k TV.

Im dreading this since I haven't bought a single physical game on the ps4. I should probably delete all of the shit get it down to the bare mininum.
That's definitely the best thing to do; when I get the Pro, I'll transfer maybe two big games I want to play ASAP (like ROTR and Titanfall2), PT and some small DL games keeping it under 100GB total. I'll download the rest while I play those games, sleep or work the following days. Rest mode + dl list on the PS Store app FTW.

So is the transfer from standard to pro going to take a while? I was thinking about just transferring everything through whatever steps they tell you to do

So... when this comes out I will have 2 Ps4's.. one in the bedroom and another in the living room.

So... how do I use the same PSN user on both PS4's..? which one should be set as primary ?

Primary the Pro, remote play will attach to the primary so might as well have that extra grunt coming through on remote play as well.

I recommend AC: Syndicate over Assassins Creed Unity.

I agree that the everything you said except Unity being the best. Do you mostly like the France setting? The Freach Revolution was a great setting but I wasn't into the game. It's the only AC I havent finished.

Im finally diving in hard this gen. Getting both current gen consoles finally. Getting the pro at launch, and getting the One S on black friday.

I bought a ton of games overtime from psn and its well over 30 games. Im ready for bloodbourne, uncharted 4, doom, mordor, and titanfall 2. Like, I even get to play a remastered Cod 4. It feels good man.

Life just kinda happened and i lost out the first couple of years of this gen, but im ready for it all. :)

Lets gooooooo.

Sweet! You must be pumped. That's a serious truckload of fun to have waiting for you :)

seriously you'll need a long holiday for all that stuff

Hmm, I'm going back in then. Thanks for the heads up.

That's good to hear becouse The Freach Revolution is a pretty great period to base a game.
Np! The world design is jawdropping, the cutscenes are charming and it's just more fun to traverse.

Syndicate was a bit bland afterwards. Still enjoyed it though.

22ms lag on the current Samsung models with HDR enabled seems mighty fine to me.

perfect time for comcast to throw that data limit in at the start tomorrow. Pro's come out next week....everyone going to be redownloading a ton of shit.....easy fucking money!

So do we have any good trade in offers yet for the older PS4 towards the Pro?

I dunno but here in France there is not many good deals... Some shops take the day one PS4 for 150€, and the last versions of PS4 with 1Tb hdd for 200€, that's not bad, but I sold mine online for 260€.

So my advice would be: sell it online.

Applied my Amazon credit to my Pre-Order. I'm ready!

I feel like I should buy a new game to go with it but I buy everything digital so I guess I'll wait.

Anyone know if the PRO has optical audio out? I was surprised to find out it was removed from the PS4 slim model.

It does.

Has there been an explanation on how the PS4 to PS4Pro data transfer will work?

It was added in last big update. You just need a eithernet cable.
