Supermassive have updated Until Dawn Rush of Blood for the Pro, so I think your theory about a fallout with Sony is a bit of a stretch. I'm definitely disappointed that the main game is not getting updated though, the framerate could really benefit.

Creating a Pro update may have been in the original contract, though...

But you're right, it serves no purpose to speculate about disagreements and the like. Shame on me!

I won't bother with it.
Will upload the important saves into the cloud and will just redownload and reinstall everything...TWICE.

Last time I did that with the upgrade to a 2tb HDD, it went faster than expected.

My Gamestop called me a few minutes ago to let me know the consoles have arrived. Only two preorders at the store, but they only received 5. I'll be there first thing Thursday.
 
I'm not even sure I'm going to bother transferring everything over to the Pro, I'm keeping my old PS4 for another TV so I might just start fresh with the Pro and install the games I'm currently playing/want to play to take advantage of the Pro patches and leave it at that. With PS+ I should be able to snag my saves on the Pro right? If not I'll just copy them to USB I guess.

I just read it as a small studio who are focusing their resources on other projects. I'd be happy if they'd just recompile and certify without a resolution bump beyond 1080p, but I can completely understand that it's not a priority. When their next game ships they'll be able to raise the bar and astound us all. That's what matters in the long run.
 
Still no movement on my Amazon US order. I'll keep trusting that they'll make it happen, but this is starting to make me thing I'll get it fairly late in the evening even if they do manage to get it to me on the 10th.

The shipment date doesn't effect the delivery time. Just depends where you are on the drivers route.

Well, I'd totally understand that from most smaller studios, but this is a Sony-published game (not to mention one that was a major hit commercially and critically).

That changes one's expectations considerably.

I've fast internet without data cap, so I'm thinking...I rather install game after game in the next few days instead of using the back-up I made today..let's see how I feel when my ps4pro arrives.
 
Backed up my PS4 yesterday (300gb in 4 hours, deleted all disc install games + games I won't be trying day 1)
PS4 sold and trade in credit put down towards rhe Pro at Gamestop.

Thursday can't come soon enough

Sony has no control over studios they don't own. They can't force From Software or Ready at Dawn or Supermassive or Evolution Studios to do anything they aren't contracted to do.

Give me BB, DSIII and Until Dawn patches and I'll be happy. Oh and DriveClub too!

But I don't think it will happnes... We have to think it that way: the story of the PS4 Pro starts from now, older games being updated are like a "bonus", we shouldn't expect too much from that.

It would be nice to get supersampling on Killzone though, the probably best looking shooter of this generation.

RaD and Supermassive seem to go mulitplat anyway, never expected support in the first place.


But hey, we have PSX in a month, maybe we will get a bloody surprise.
 
OG PS4 backed up and initialising right now, ready to go in the box and on eBay.

TiF2 and RnC coming tomorrow, WD2 next week and have a few PS4/PSVR games already that are supported.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Bloodborne patch would torpedo my mild frustration with the lack of Pro support for exclusive titles.

This is the main reason I cancelled my Amazon and went with Best Buy. I need this box in my freaking hands in the morning. I haaaaaate waiting will 8-9PM for that shit.
 
Mine just shipped from Amazon this morning, saying it would be delivered Thursday. Just tracked it via UPS though and UPS says it'll be delivered Friday :(
