I just got my unit. Mgs5 installon my original ps4 used to make my system like a flying jet.i am.happy to report that my ps4 pro us dead quite. I can only here the blue ray right now being installed . No coil whine either ( used to have second revision of the ps4 mgs edition and it used to have coil whine )

I am seriously very happy I got lucked out and got a system with a good thermal paste installed lol

I even have the anniversary edition close to it so I can transfer my data from that to the pro using the cable. Man I am seriously happy lol

Waiting on my estimated time at the moment, even though I've upgraded to before half ten.
Getting nervous but as a failsafe back up I have a Pro reserved at my local Argos.

When did you upgrade? Could that possibly kick it out of sync a bit so you may just not get a text.

Upgraded as soon as I got the email it was on its way.
Never had to wait this long before though for them to tell me it's on it's way from the depot. The one time I start giving praise to them and I'm now getting worried, lol.

If I've had nothing by half ten, when it's supposed to turn up, I'll go and get the Argos one and get the ShopTo one refunded when it turns up.

Aye, knew I should've kept my mouth shut and not said anything until after the delivery!
The whole reason I paid for the upgrade was because I'm swapping the HDD and wanted to get it all done and stuff downloading during the day.
Ah well, at least you've got confirmation! Lol

Have you downloaded the correct Firmware file there are two types, one for a clean install another for an update.

Yep, mine is in Exeter which is a 15 minute drive from me but it won't be delivered until tomorrow and they won't let me collect it.

My Dishonored 2 order hasn't even been dispatched yet either.

I've just cancelled Prime and will never pre-order from them again.

Amazon UK suck ass.

Takes me back to almost exactly 3 years ago. Good thing this time is Tesco have DPD delivering this one on the earliest (before 9:30?) otherwise it'd be another 4 hours until Steve came back this way with the regular deliveries. Might be up and running by lunchtime.

Tesco Direct's packaging really leaves much to be desired... Especially considering the weight and cost of the PS4 Pro.

Just got it for £353 delivered TODAY. Fuck you Amazon! I'm actually looking forward to rejecting the delivery tomorrow.

Any differences in the new controller? Digital Foundry were saying there might be some differences in terms of Bluetooth connection or something? Could someone clear that up for me.

It means I can cancel the extra day I booked off tomorrow so I can use it at Christmas like I had planned.

Prime only ever introduced delays and inconvenient delivery times (gone 8 at night) with preorders. Sticking with the masses and regular delivery flawless.

Tesco Direct's packaging really leaves much to be desired... Especially considering the weight and cost of the PS4 Pro.

Got to claw back every penny they can after the £299 pricing. I'd be annoyed if a pair of running shoes came wrapped in a plastic bag, but a weighty console... wtf? Luckily no damage but it wouldn't have taken much to pop a hole right through the pro's boxes.

Yep same here with Dishonored, not too fussed about that as it was only £18.

WTF Amazon my delivery estimate changed to tomorrow while I was in the shower, so I just reserved one at my local Argos to go and collect immediately, as I'm about to leave the house I get a email that it's now gone out for delivery at 11:05 and has state the obvious changed back to delivery today, I'm now sitting here with a cup and coffee and a fag trying to make my mind up what to do, I have to take my SSD out of my OG and then restore my 600GB backup which took 3 hours last night, so I can go and collect one be back home by 12 and swap the HDD's and leave the backup restore this afternoon leaving me free to check out the goodness this evening, or sit here stalking the window while Amazon Logostics will probably deliver at 9pm knowing my luck meaning I'm not going to get any time with the pro until tomorrow evening, but I then have to deal with returning the Amazon order and waiting for a refund.

Never pre ordering anything from Amazon again as long as their are using these Amazon Logistics clowns, in fact the only thing making me not cancel my Prime which is due for renewal in a month is The Grand Tour as we don't usually watch anything on Amazon Video.

Yeah as Justin said you can contact Amazon and get them to block the delivery so you don't have to go through the hassle of returning it.

My pro arrived just over an hour ago. Have swapped out the hard drive for a 2tb SSHD, reinstalled the system software and am in the process of transferring data from my old PS4. Simple and painless process!

Got mine a couple of hours ago. Poor packaging from Amazon. PS4 box was banged up (content was fine) and my copy of Dishonored was crushed. Already asked for a replacement and I'm certainly going to complain. Also, the driver left the box on my doorstep and just left. Good thing I was home and could get it right away.

Ahh I'm really lost now the other more important issue is if I collect the Argos order I just know the wife will give me hell when she gets home from work telling me I'm a grown 35 year old man who is more impatient than the kids as it's only a PS4 and I already have one, she already had a moan when I told her I ordered it she just doesn't get it.
