Nope, around 7 hours from now (I think). This is not out yet is it?
That is weird. I have had PS5 from day 1, used rest mode from day 1 and I cant recall having a single error/problem with it. And I often play games for 10-30mins, rest mode, then continue later, and do this multiple times per day.Rest mode is a piece of shit and I don't use it while there's a game running. I quit the game and then put it in rest mode.
Just earlier tonight I had Deathloop in rest mode, and after booting it crashed the game and I had to restart from scratch.
It's such a mess, unfortunately.
Any news on 'Other Storage' being fixed?
Really? Because i asked here and people told me that copy works from rest mode, strange.Disks don't copy in rest mode lol. Internet patches yes, but it would need the base game if you're installing it from a disk to be on there first.

Also, why are people getting triggered from my post? How is it a bad thing that I have the same heatsink as Sony?
You know monitors have had HDR for a long time now right?booooo you.
Vrr will come sooner or later. It's not like you need it at all on ps5 now...
And 1440p is just dead. It's like 1680x1050 was. It's intermediate resolution that is dead. Everything is 4k. You can run internal 1440p and upscale to 4k with better results.
And wanting 1440p indicates you play ps5 on a monitor. So You have much bigger problems than 1440p... like lack of hdr on a monitor and lack of 4k. And... and a monitor.
Sorry for being so disrespectful man.... Just think BIGGER ! Get a huge tv, maybe oled or samsung. PS5 looks so much better with good HDR.
Which show you that Sony never learn.I think people forget that PS4 launched without suspend/resume and PS3 users waited almost two years for in-game XMB. VRR is nothing compared to that.
Ha. Monitors have fake HDR. No dimming zones is a joke. I've had many monitors with HDR and it's shit. It's just funny. The Apple mouse was the cherry on top.

1440p is far from dead, but it doesn't make as much sense vs 2160 when your games are limited to 30 or 60 fps. 1440p 144+fps is where it's at. As consoles become more and more like PC (such as you guys installing your first M.2), perhaps 1440p and the ability to change your refresh rate, much like 120 mode will become a thing.
I honestly hate HDR, so I personally don't care as it's too bright.Ha. Monitors have fake HDR. No dimming zones is a joke. I've had many monitors with HDR and it's shit.
Great monitor..but unless ps5/xbox have a displayport you are capped at 60........still is a good pc monitor thoughI honestly hate HDR, so I personally don't care as it's too bright.
But this monitor has 512 zones if you do care:

You hate HDR because you've never used OLED maybe? It is a game changer

Ghosting on OLED? Are you sure you're not talking about LED? Or QLED? Because those are LCDs still and LCDs have ghosting. Also LCDs are brighter than OLEDs.I've used oled, it's just too bright.
Also the ghosting on oled was bad. I don't know if that's been improved yet or what. It's been a few years.
My friend OLED went rogue and now wanted by the cops.OLED's ? Buddy of mine had an oled tv it exploded killed his dog and wife too.
i also heard oled's can burn in.. Imagine having that happening during xmas whole house gone..
just like that

On Apple the controller is integrated at the system level, Sony probably expecting Google to do the sameStill no ps5 controller support with remote play for Android smfh

It probably was a QLED. My mistake.¿?
You sure of that? OLED's main flaw (burn-in risk aside) is that it's not as bright as traditional LED TVs.
Also it's not possible you're seeing ghosting unless the TV is defective. That's one of the main advantages of OLED. Are you sure it wasn't LED or QLED?

Needs it if ps5 games flex streaming designDo i have to get an SSD with a heatsink, or can it be without?
Just updated mine. God it is good to see trophies listed in a way that they can be read.
Also they updated it to fix a massive bugbear of mine. Previously games that I had bought full price but had subsequently become 'Playstation Hits' would display the horrible bargain basement red logo on the App listing. Now all the artwork is clean and my collection has been restored to its former glory
Also did you see this from CHP
Have they updated PS5 Remote Play to work on Vita? Will go and check myself at lunch.
I'm currently playing through FF7 again, so it would be fine. It is fine for a lot of RPGs. But yes, you are right in general.Vita remote play has always been useless because you lose L2/R2 and how many games don't use the triggers? Lol
The back touch pad doesn't count.
How do you know they installed to internal? Generally dlc and patches are attached at the hip to the game.so maybe I'm missing something but after installing my M2 SSD I then moved AC: Valhalla to it, after doing that I then downloaded the DLC packs which I hadn't had installed due to the size they take up (and I wasn't ready to play through them yet) but despite the game being on the M2 they still installed on the internal
however when I view the storage for the internal they don't show up anywhere to try to move them? nor do I see a way to move them when viewing the game stored on the M2 :-/
The whining over VRR is so overblown. Sure it's a neat feature but it's not even properly standardised yet and it will be useful to probably <1% of users (though they are disproportionately represented on forums like this one).
I think people forget that PS4 launched without suspend/resume and PS3 users waited almost two years for in-game XMB. VRR is nothing compared to that.
Put the rarity next to the Gold/Silver/Bronze icon, remove one line of text and BOOM, you can fit one more trophy on the list. I really don't want to see like 4 trophies on the WHOLE screenLOVE how the trophies look now after this update....very sharp!
Do you mean fix why it is always using 40+ GB of storage space?
I noticed my PS5 was using 67 GB of 'Other' storage the other day (which is 10% of the internal storage!) and even after a PS5 restart it was still at 64 GB. On a system with just 667 GB of internal storage and one where my PS4/PS5 save games use a further 20 GB, that meant I was constantly having to archive games to my 4 TB external SSD storage. Honestly, I cannot wait to install my 2 TB WD SN850 SSD later on today and finally have plenty of storage to keep ALL my PS5 games installed. It will be a revelation, I tell you!
Much as I love my PS5 though, I really do feel that Sony are not focused enough on the software side of the console. We finally get to be able to use the internal expansion slot TEN MONTHS after launch (versus Day One for the Xbox Series S/X which has expandable SSD cards from launch) but the console still only supports one external drive (so you cannot copy directly from one to the other like on my four year old Xbox One X), moving/copying files requires you to stay on that screen and is not done in the background like on Xbox (and is surprisingly slow even for SSD to SSD transfers) plus we are still missing VRR and ALLM support, both of which were available on my Xbox One X years ago.
Finally, the PS5's software, while improved since launch, is still decidedly buggy with Rest mode still being a real issue. I no longer leave games running when I put my PS5 into Rest mode as I've had several instances where I've turned my PS5 on to be told the external drive was not removed properly even though the game I was playing was a native PS5 game running from the internal storage! Also, I've had a few PS5 games crash resulting in the same error about the external storage not being removed properly, which requires the console to reboot and do its repair. These issues are really annoying and it is something I have never ever seen on my Xbox One X, which deals with these things in the background in a far more user-friendly manner. In comparison, the PS5 seems to like to scare its users with numerous errors that always seem like they're blaming the user rather than its own glitchy firmware.
Wow wow be careful asking for vrr makes some people here get upsetSo the now the main remaining features now are:

-1440p support
-3D audio support for soundbars and 5.1/7.1

-To fix the clock

Well it's a shit system and too slow, i waste more time copying a fucking game\patch then reinstallimg windows on my pc from zero with probably the slower ssd in the market.

Like 99.99% of the players I don't care about VRR or 1440p because I don't have any display that uses them and don't plan to buy one in the near future.Wow wow be careful asking for vrr makes some people here get upset
As I remember PS5 already supports 8K, but maybe there's no content for it.+Themes
+8K upscaled output
I think there's no point for them to implement it. I think eventually all future tvs will support VRR so it makes sense for them to implement it, but I think 1440p will never be an important resolution display for consoles so it's hard to see them implement it.I’m not sure we will ever get 1440p support.
