Cyberpunk 2077 Switch 2 vs PS4 Pro (PS5 Pro BC) Early Graphics Comparison

Discourse to discredit anything Switch 2 is funny.
Lol yeah I don't get it, there is always a group of people rushing in to downplay anything that could possibly be seen as positive for the upcoming Nintendo console. What's the deal??

PS4 Pro version looks clearer. Also, why is the Switch 2 version missing the effects around Johnny?

The effects?

The dark scene on the bottom right is more in keeping with the current gen version appearance

I'm talking about the effects coming off Johnny. Did they tone that down for all newer versions of the game?

Just clarifying - the scene with him in the bottom right? Compared to the red scene? (Presumably)

Yeah I believe so - I'm pretty sure that is how the ps5/series X upgrades look. Not sure about pc

Ah…ok. That explains it then

Very eager to get my hands on this one and see how the handheld 40 FPS version compares to the PS5 Pro & Steam Deck.

PS4 Pro looks much sharper & better graphically, and runs at stable framerates, expected, Switch 2 is around Base PS4...
And how about that expansion they've been showing off on the Switch 2? Let's compare PS4 and, hell, PS4 Pro's versions to the Switch 2's, hmm?

I think it's acceptable if you go in and tweak the settings. You know...LOWER than what you're seeing on Switch 2. 😉
It's playable but it won't even hit 30 consistently even at the lowest setting. It was still impressive seeing it run on the Deck. And the Switch version looks much, much better. It's a shame that there's no handheld PC powered by Nvidia because DLSS is just doing a lot of heavy lifting here.

both Valve and Microsoft are working on ARM support for Steam/Steam OS and Windows respectively.

so we could start seeing Nvidia handhelds once the CPU emulation is fast enough on ARM.

Ya know what I just realized? We're not getting a PS5 Pro patch because of the damn Switch 2 version.....that hurts

This game needs a Pro patch badly. Quality mode looks great but feels bad at 30 fps and Performance mode just doesn't look next gen comparatively. The Pro could fix that. We also never got RT reflections on console which is something vital to the look of Night City. Rtgi would've been amazing too but at this point I would've happily settled for rt reflections and close to Quality mode visuals at 60 fps with PSSR.

Should honestly be feasible on Pro.

CDPR sees there's more money in a Switch 2 version than a PS5 Pro patch.

That's due to Switch 2's increased RAM pool size compared to PS4 & PS4 Pro, and faster storage speeds & presumably faster CPU, was strictly talking about graphical quality & resolution.

PS4 pro version isn't running on a native hardware. It got Resolution boost from 900p-1118p to 1224p and Frame rate boost from 20-30 FPS to 60 FPS on PS5 hardware BC.

Ceiling fan light on the Switch 2 looks like a fuckin stop sign.

There's also a lack of ambient light in the diner scene. It looks pretty good but I can tell where they've cut corners.

PS5 also looks like that in the scene with the fan light

Cyberpunk 2.0 and 1.63 are very different games, with very different performance footprints. You guys should elect a new game to be used in this platform war of yours...
There's no war, the PS5 is certainly better than the Switch 2, and the PC is 100 times better than the PS5 Pro (at least mine is.)

All I can say is that this shit looks better on the Intellivision than on the Colecovision or the 2600.

Is the Portal considered as a handheld now? I thought it was a control with a screen ala WiiU gamepad but more expensive.

I understood his comment in the sense of "don't play Cyberpunk on a tiny screen" kind of stuff, that's why I said it looked great on my Portal

Game is shite no matter where you play it
Look not only at review score but more importantly at user scores, game is really good according to players, ppl who spend their hard earned money in order to play it.
In less than four years since release we've already sold 30 million copies of Cyberpunk 2077, and as for Phantom Liberty – in just over a year it has sold over 8 million copies.

What are your pc specs?
RTX 12090 with them 96 GB of RAM.

On a serious note, I'm rocking an Intel Ultra 9 285k, 4080 Super, 64 GB DDR5, and Dual 4 TB NVMEs with an internal 12 TB for storage and an external 22 TB for backup. My monitor is the AW2725Q (literally the only thing I'll buy from Dell tbh).

It's the best PS4 version of Cyberpunk running on PS5 Pro vs. Switch 2 dev build comparison video. I wouldn't call it a useless video. Just a...poorly labeled one?

The comparison is still useful for the prognosis of the Switch 2 version. It shows that with a modicum of effort, Cyberpunk is running on Switch 2 in a state where it looks very close, some effects are missing, and it runs way worse...than how it does on a PS5. I'm willing to bet it would beat PS4 Pro on the framerate test...and that's this build before they have a chance to finish the port.

Contrary to the naysayers this isn't a doomsday scenario. It could still get better from here. Though for some reason, I feel like they will be mad if it does.

Or you know I could play it myself and decide it is shit. Which i did.

Which is fine, just keep in mind u are in minority, ofc nothing wrong with that, some ppl can hate gta games, or hell even mario mainline platformers, no game is made for every1 :)
About quality of the game, if u played it at launch time and last gen consoles i fully understand u, topend pc/current gen consoles and playing game after it got fixed/improved aka after expack was much different experience.

I played it on ps5, then again last year on a 4080. The game just doesn't play well for me. Keane reeves is just phoning it in. The ending I got made absolutely no sense lol. Compared to the witcher 3 which is a masterpiece I just didn't feel like Cyberpunk was anywhere near that quality. It looks great though. I wouldn't want to play it on 10w handheld though
