Hopefully we'll get a 60fps mode too...

Surprising the gen where the most Ubisoft games have a 60fps option, Capcom decides to return to 30fps. Looks like this game is a unoptimized mess they want to release soon.

I'm assuming 30fps because "no mention + raytracing"

3D audio + dualsense will be the best thing on this. My 1080p tv is ready :messenger_savoring:

If 3D audio really works like they say, it could be fucking scary to hear some undead bastard moving behind you :messenger_grimmacing_

I don't like how raytracing has become just a buzzword without much meaning. What kind of raytracing does it have? Raytraced sound? Shadows? Reflections? Lighting?

Doesn't matter, just slap raytracing in there!

Again you struggle to read what he posted. At the time of writing, it was running at that level and he said he expected it would increase by time of launch. Is english your native language?

He was torn apart for it and for good reason. A game still in development will go through optimization woes. He said it just to appease his Xbox loyals. I'll mock him forever.

If devs really wanted locked 4k they would do it (by reducing details)
I wonder if this dynamic 4k trend is actually "forced" by Sony to make it easier to scale games for ps5pro/ps6 without the need for patches.

I wonder if we'll see any checkerboarded or reconstructed 4K? If some of these games dip low enough (they may not, but dynamic 4K can mean all sorts of things), I would prefer that approach, which when done well, almost looks indistinguishable from real 4K.

He said 1080p, it was shown at 4k and he only said it because Xbox wasn't having good news or something.
"It was shown at 4k" when was it shown at 4k? We have never seen the game running at 4k. We saw a trailer that was dynamic and had frame drops into the 10's

Resident Evil first person view+Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers+Tempest 3D AudioTech = Me soiling my pants.
Resident Evil first person view+Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers+Tempest 3D AudioTech + VR2 = Wearing those same pants inside out and soiling them again.

Impossible!!

My friend who is a Nintendo fanboy who hates Sony said that PS5 is struggling to run Resident Evil 8 at 1080p!!!
Name in RED is my friend.

Very nice, can't wait to play it

Although I do wish they'd do a new RE in RE2/RE3 remakes style though, I loved 7 so this is still good

Is there any news of VR support yet?

Anyone feel like me? I buy both XSX and PS5 to play the exclusives on PS5 and other games on XSX but if the DualSense controller is so much better than the XSX one... I might end up buying multiplat games on PS5 too...

Ah ok so you accept what he said then. Why mock him then? lol

Whatever it takes to get likes, it seems. I feel bad for Golem. What he said was reasonable, and yet, it was twisted by some of the most hardcore fanboys and now it's a universal truth.

According to https://segmentnext.com/2020/08/10/...perfectly-on-xbox-series-x-struggling-on-ps5/

Xbox Series X has 4K.

Playstation 5 struggles (a.k.a. dynamic) at 4K. Extra info from https://gamingbolt.com/resident-evi...nd-causing-issues-in-development-says-insider

Yeah that's what i was thinking...usually it gets mentioned. And honestly it would be really disappointing

100% agree. What he said was completely twisted. And now he wont leak anything ever again. I dont know if this is a good thing or bad thing lol

It's sad yeah. People apparantly forget (or deliberately ignore) that he said "However I also know Capcom has some very talented people, the engine is very customizable, so it'll probably be working perfectly by launch "

I'm ready! Already bought me a new dynamic 4k/HDR compatible TV, the 2019 Samsung 55 Q60 lol, better than nothing. But it's not for this werewolf/fps crap that has nothing to do with my long missed Resident Evil, Crapcom...

Didn't he say he did it to balance the bad news for xbox? His motives were there for everyone to see, and the xbox fans on here ate it up.

The earth is currently flat, BTW I expect it to be round later on.

I thought that it's going to be 60FPS game : (

I like the fact it's using the dualsense triggers & new haptic feedback (i.e. ensuring it's not merely used in exclusives) but a first person game needs to be 60 fps next gen, especially considering Resident Evil 7 was 60 fps on the ps4 & One. There's no way I'd go back to 30 fps just to get some ray tracing. F that.

I only hope the list of "technical features" isn't yet finalized & the 60 fps mode is present (as it should be).
