sure starfield flys in to the rescue for september. right?
A 11/10 Starfield won't save the Xbox according to Phil.
Jokes on him. The 84 Metacritic Starfield won't even move the needle.

Did she just assume their genders?Fall guys?
I don’t know the context of this meme but I assume it to be true for serious reasons. The memes of ps users also having a gaming pc came true?!?
I don't recall exactly where it started, but from what I remember it's when Bethesda was acquired that ps users still don't need to buy an xbox since they already all have beefy pcs.I don’t know the context of this meme but I assume it to be true for serious reasons.
PCs are almost ubiquitous and have more functions beyond gaming. I myself require a beefy PC purely for work but it can function as my gaming PC if needed. It’s not that PS users have a gaming PC. It’s most likely that all people of different platforms have certain percentage of their user base own a gaming PC.
MS need to do what nintendo did and vastly differentiate the xb from playstation, the 2 brands are identical right now and thats ms fault for trying to be a better playstation than playstation.
The literal only chance ms got at being a better playstation was with the 360 and thats when PS and Sony leadership was going thru a shake up and caused turmoil for all of Sony’s divisions. PS had to fail for 360 to temporarily succeed.
Well Spencer said so himself. "It’s just not true that if we go off and build great games all of a sudden you’re going to see console share shift in some dramatic way."This is the month before Starfield...
Right now on Amazon.co.uk Xbox Series X is at #95 and Series S is at #98 while the PS5 is at #13 and #35 (digital).
Not saying Amazon is the place to go to have an idea on overall sales but it seems like September not much will change. It may surpass 6 year old Switch though.
edit: Interesing to see Spider-Man 2 is already the 3rd best selling game in there as well, and it only releases late next month. It's only surpassed by the new Fifa and the latest Zelda. That game is going to be doing some numbers for sure.
The video gives you her pronouns at the beginning, to avoid any confusion I guess
What's left at this stage?
The proverbial kitchen sink has been thrown out and they are too deep in the trenches with gamepass/day and date PC/xCloud etc to reverse any of that.
Damn I thought PS to Xbox was 50:50 like in the USUK 2023
PS5 ~481K
NSW ~270K
X|S ~208K
Starfield and Redfall are not great games tho. They seem to be both outdated and does nothing new for the medium, you not gonna pull gamers from switch and ps4/5 with poor offerings like this, its a literal downgrade for that gamer if they did migrate over for those 2 games.Well Spencer said so himself. "It’s just not true that if we go off and build great games all of a sudden you’re going to see console share shift in some dramatic way."
So, September will be basically the same then? Weird that releasing great games works for Nintendo and Sony.

How do you get gamers to walk away from the mobility, libary and convenience of the NS?
How do you get them to walk away from the fidelity, the controller, and library of the PS5?
Anecdotally I have seen some people with PS5s saying they are getting an Xbox to play Starfield. Although whether there are enough people doing that to offset the revenue Microsoft has left on the table by making it exclusive, is another question. I doubt it. I know they're playing the long game, trying to loss lead their way into putting Sony out of business but I don't think it's working, thankfully. Imagine how mediocre Xbox's first party output would be if there was no competition, it doesn't bear thinking about.
It could happen, like how Sega went from 5% in 1989 to over 50% in 1994, but it requires real leadership and Microsoft doesn't have that.
They also don't deserve any better than they have been doing right now. Do better and get better!
Or says they a much higher rated ps5 game called baldurs gate just out. But yes Spiderman is an easy sell.
Exactly. Plus, brands are far more established now, in addition to digital content. Would be much harder to convince a lot of those people to abandon ship (hence why Microsoft even acknowledged this). It would take something FAR worse than a PS3-type situation for Xbox to ever overtake PlayStation on the global stage. They just don't have the world appeal. They also did that in a much smaller market, consoles didn't sell 150 million back then.
No one will run out and buy a Xbox just for call of duty and the state of Xbox gamesThe UK is currently blocking them from buying Activision Blizzard and taking control of Call of Duty but that may change by October

If XBS hit less than 720k then it means that 2021 sales > 2022 sales > 2023 sales, which is quite depressing. !!!Current Gen at the end of 2022:

When there are no more publishers to buy.So PS5 so far in 2023 is over 2 to 1 in the UK and close to that in the US too. Xbox is losing further ground in their strongest countries. At what point do they throw in the towel? How bad does it need to get?
I honestly think they’ll end up as a 3rd party publisher and this isn’t a bad thing. They can potentially be the biggest publisher in every sense of the word.So PS5 so far in 2023 is over 2 to 1 in the UK and close to that in the US too. Xbox is losing further ground in their strongest countries. At what point do they throw in the towel? How bad does it need to get?
Spencer basically already threw in the towel during that interview where he stated releasing games won't make a difference. So PS5 so far in 2023 is over 2 to 1 in the UK and close to that in the US too. Xbox is losing further ground in their strongest countries. At what point do they throw in the towel? How bad does it need to get?
