More regions to come?

Previous price was $18.99 so 21% increase.

I'm only redeeming mine with rewards for a month every now and then, but good to know.

Edit: Australia too.

Hopefully it comes to the UK soon, I feel like im robbing them at the moment, sometimes I struggle to sleep thinking about it so an increase in price would ease my mind a bit, and it would still be the best deal in gaming 💪💪💪.

What was it before the price increase?
And weren't some people saying Ultimate won't get a bump in price because of COD? And I meant not just here but other sites as well. 🤔

I wouldn't say it's a price increase but more like a price adjustment that is trying to put some kind of monetary value to something that you cannot.

I mean, can you put a price to the best deal in gaming?

That's a relatively big bump at least from your typical price increase of just a dollar more. But maybe that doesn't happen anymore.

Yep and it was always obvious they were going to pull a "market conditions" and deny it's to monetise on the acquisition. Nobody can actually prove otherwise legally.

The script they would be reading is "market conditions" because it will likely be higher than the inflation percentage increase.
They're more likely to raise prices in the hope that people will pay regardless to cover the cost of CoD. The most telltale sign is the 3:1 ratio if registered 3:2 if not. It means they expect a bunch of people to run out at a specific time at which point a price hike is expected. I'd give it till August /September.

Same percentage increase showing up in Australia this morning. Totally predictable and the best deal in gaming is heading towards buy the games you are interested in outright and invest in one platform only. Given the multiplayer buy in on consoles, that may well be a PC/Xbox(branded)PC next generation.

"This deal keeps getting worse all the time" - Angry XBox gamers

"Pray that I don't alter the deal further." - Phil Spencer

Holy shit a tier without day one games.

They must be bleeding.
according to that article it's also going to be priced at $15 a month… so yeah they're hiking the price big time since that's basically the old Game Pass Console tier without Day 1 games now for an extra $5 a month while Ultimate will be going up to $20

Whats the price going to be in a few years? $30/month? Lol just buy a few games on sale on Steam instead and actually "own" them.

Getting closer to the worst deal in gaming.

Gotta recover that 80 billion somehow other than firing people. Doing this just before Call of Duty is like how Nintendo started charging for online just before Smash Bros.

Imagine paying 25$ a month after taxes to play Xbox game pass .

That's 300$ Canadian per year
I can buy 3 first party titles MS day one for that price and I would own these games ( probably even more than 3 games too )

lol MS doesn't even have 3 big games that needs to be purchased day one even if you include cod one of them

I don't pay for PlayStation online . I don't pay for Xbox game pass . These companies can fuck off with these prices . Sony is on top of the big FU with their shitty prices

Any company that wants to charge me money so I can play online they can shove that console up their ass. Along with the game and their sub . Without a cream too

This kinda sucks. The new standard gamepass with online but no day 1 MS titles is kinda tempting depending on the time it takes for those games to release. I'm probably gonna wait for MS to open the floodgates for activision blizzard stuff before deciding If day 1 first party and ea play is worth the price increase over standard.

LOL? They have been bleeding since day 1, but as long as it was still part of the grand master strategy to destroy Sony and take over gaming it was fine

It's clear that a lot changed when the ABK acquisition was completed and the rest of the MS organization finally noticed what their Xbox division has been doing and let's just say you don't just blow $70 billion and keep flying under the radar even if it's MS

Price Increases sucks and as a canadian, everything i own or want to own has gone up in price.

But to play devil's advocate in terms of being "thrifty";

That being said if you pay for gamepass monthly, and are still interested in xbox/PC games that are coming to gamepass- the price is still ~24/month x 12 = 288 bucks.
Which correlates to approximately about spending the equivalent of 3-4 games at full price in canada (89.99) a year.

So if there are at minimum 3 games coming to gamepass "day one" or are exclusive that you want to play, this is still a decent deal given that you'll still get the 10% discount on the games even if goes on sale. And you'd still get access to the other games that are currently on or will come onto gamepass.

It's still a relatively decent deal if you spend on average buying 3-4 + games a year.

again, not saying i support the price increase or anything of the sort, but Gamepass is still a decent deal if you play thru the decently sized and variable genre's of games.
