What exactly makes this source credible?
Why do you doubt this?I doubt there will be DLSS in many 60fps games and certainly not on portable mode.
I dont think any of them are confident to make online free again and leave Subscriptions model for the months games and features etc like PS3 days.I don't care.
Litteraly never subscribed to any subscription from all of them and I'm fine. I consider them almost as scam since you can play most of the same games on PC with free online.
And about their "free" games, they aren't: you own NOTHING at the end.
I want this stupid online subscription model dead.

Online was free with PS3, thank you Microsoft for having made legitimate paid online with your stupid "Xbox Live" subscription

I've been way more informed than you are, son:Take a course on inflation. It's important.
A person can't be a citizen of the world and not know about inflation. What it is, why it exists and why it's innevitable. It's all gonna make sense.
Prices go up, and they're gonna go up across the board, always.
Thats a whole lot of nostalgia for whats soon to be the best selling console of all time.Nintendo kids haven't bought a new Nintendo system since the 90s, I reckon.
These days Nintendo consoles are a bit expensive for kids (not to mention smartphones are way more popular), so it's mostly adults with Nintendo nostalgia that buy them.
I would be surprised if Nintendo ever implements in-game voice chat regardless of how much their online service costs. There are so many young kids on Nintendo devices that Nintendo isn't going to want the liability. Requiring a mobile phone is by design. For 70$ youll get voice chat without needing your phone! Welcome to the next generation of multiplayer!
I'm not saying modern kids never play on Nintendo consoles.Thats a whole lot of nostalgia for whats soon to be the best selling console of all time.
A whole lot.
That price is very possible though. The $499 (tariff) was pretty funny. Definitely a political dig.
Currently you can buy 1 year of NSO for $20.
It seems Nintendo plans to adopt Sony's pricing scheme and maybe remove the cheaper tier? (even if they don't remove it, the price gulf between 20 and 70 is too high, so expect them to increase that too)
How is this justified? Adding party chat (most likely p2p, which is free) is not a compelling reason.
Will Switch 1 owners get screwed (20 -> 70) if they just wanna play Mario Kart/Splatoon online?
Should people stack a few more years of regular NSO at $20?
You're a cheery chap this morningYou really trying to discuss value in a pay 2 online game subscription? There is no value, its just there to fuck you over because you chose a locked down drm platform instead of PC. Something that is normally free is being arbitrarily taken away simply because they *can* take it away. If these companies thought they could charge you to pause your game they'd do it.
The point is unless you are Nostradamus, Nintendo or anybody else has any idea when the tariffs will come in or at what rate and for which countries yet, or if it will be a blanket tariff or exempt electronics. It's a purely political commentThat price is very possible though.
At the moment those tariffs aren't looking like bluffs.

If the upscale and fps boost isn’t a free update, yo ho me hearties
Its wild to me people are paying for roms of old games they already own and played to death with switch online. You dont freaking rent nintendo games. You are supposed to own them. Cant believe people let the no vc on switch slide. Without an achievement system and all those style features sony, steam, and xbox has the nso shouldnt be costing anything. How do you charge money for old roms everyone probably has on there t.i 83 calculators without and achievement system? And then they charge a separate fee for the pokemon stuff lol? Man Nintendo consumers are the worst. None of nintendos online stuff ever made any logical sense to me.It is a random Twitter account that posts whatever they want to their 2k followers. It's obviously fake.
But let's say it is real...I do not think Switch online is worth $70. $50 is ok, but that is kind of stretching it. Online+cloud saves+roms isn't really a great value. $50 is cheap enough that I don't think much about it even though the value probably isn't there. Once things go above that then I start to think on if I would rather save the money or not.
This hypothetical/ made upon price increase would only apply to Expansion Pack. Since it’s highly unlikely any more new platforms would be added to the base NSO. Expansion Pack is where the built-in/planned future growth is for the service. Nintendo’s made it really clear for years that the intent is for NSO to grow in features and services over time. And each time something new is added, N64, GBA, DLC packs for AC, MK, Splatoon, it’s always come to Expansion Pack. And the price was high to begin with because they’ve continually invested more and more over time into content and added platforms. It’s prolly gonna grow again to coincide with the Switch 2 launch and the next major DLC, etc.A increase for a improved online component that includes GC games makes sense. $70 doesn't, try lower.
I subscribe only to psplus because they actually have online features like built in voice chat, achievements, friends list where you can add anybody anytime without friends codes, talk and text, and newer games that im interested in that i havent played to death. They will ban people and ps is harder to hack than switch is. I seen people putting hacked pokemon on nintendo lol.I don't care.

I do have a beefy PC, but it's not possible to play Splatoon there, you know? You really trying to discuss value in a pay 2 online game subscription? Most likely they will reach 1080p with DLSS.I still think Switch 2 even with a bigger screen should have stayed 720p for handheld mode, maybe 900p maximum, spend the extra power on better quality AA, lighting, framerate, better battery life / lower power usage, etc… no need to really push high resolution in handhelds.
I was a PS3 gamer back then and I thoroughly enjoyed Uncharted 2/3 MP (even though many people thought it was inferior compared to Gears of War MP, I had great fun with it).In PS3 vs XB times, gamers have accepted "pay for network access" model.
Now we get what we deserve.
All these features are free without PS+.I subscribe only to psplus because they actually have online features like built in voice chat, achievements, friends list where you can add anybody anytime without friends codes, talk and text, and newer games that im interested in that i havent played to death.
