(Cleverly uses the 2.00 buffer exploit to overwrite the flash with 1.50 firmware).

Personally, I'm not going to rush to downgrade, I like the functionality of 2.00 (AVC) and believe this is only the first step to true 2.00 homebrew anyway, but I guess it's perfect for the impatient.

If theres no news on 2.00 homebrew in a few weeks I'll downgrade then.

i think this development pretty much kills alot of the '2.00 homebrew' movement... who is gonna work on 2.0 homebrew when people can just downgrade and upgrade at will?

any emu will work... i mean even neocd has some games that will fit on 32MB

You unpack it all on your PC, copy the folders inside the folder for 1.50 firmware (you see inside this folder two sub-folders and one will have the same name as the other one plus a % character, but I think you knew that) and copy both folders inside the usual PSP/GAME/ directory.

IIRC, several people upgraded fine with the custom bg's... they were overwritten during the upgrade...

The switch is fairly fast though, isn't it? Be not that hard to go back and forth depending on the needs of the day.

I have a launch United States PSP but I am not sure which firmware it has but I have never upgraded.....it seems to me GAFers do not like the 2.0 firmware that is mandatory on some games....why?
