Hi there,

the game is out (at least for Euro market).
I can't find any comment, review, impression....anything.

If you own it, have seen it, would you tell me something about this game?
Pros? Cons? Rating?

It was rated as one of the three best PSP racing games in Germany together with Ridge Racer and TOCA Race Driver 2.

All in all CMR05 plus for PSP is the same as the PlayStation 2 game, maybe a bit harder because of the new controls. But every element like the driving physics are properly recreated and the visuals are quite good. It's definitely much better than Sony's WRC and can be recommended to everyone who enjoyed the series on PS2 if he is willing to spend 40-50 euros for the same game.

By the way. CMR05 features 8 players via WIFI and downloadable ghosts...

I have it.. its very impressive, I only played the original two PSOne releases, and its faithful... the difficulty might have been ramped up too high, but thats all the negative I can think of.

The interface is wonderfully designed, the graphics are amazing for the PSP... I just haven't gotten around to playing it extensively yet.

No I have not, I read less then stellar opinions on that so I avoid it... Ridge Racer is a safe bet, it is much more relaxing then Colin, much more suited to the PSP format, I would say.

Both games are good, but Colin is rediculously hard imo. TOCA 2 is a great port of the console version and well worth getting hold of.

colin mcrae 2005 plus is just a lame port with a horrible framerate. stay away from that shit. buy it on ps2 or xbox, but just dont buy it for psp. same applies for toca race driver 2!

and the loading times are horrible too!

toca race driver 2 was made by sumo stuidioos and the framerate drops every time, when you drive through a corner or more than two cars are oncreen. also the controls atre clunky and much worser than onps2.

yeah - but not for everyone. in my opinion both ports are awful (like midnight club 3). play the 128bit versions and your just fine. and btw. they are cheaper now, than one psp game.

Well, that should be factored into whether or not you buy them. If you have a large memory stick, enjoy! If not...stay away!
