Psychonauts 2 is now Double Fine’s top selling game

I'd just like to say how much of a privilage it is for my team to be working with me

she/her and "My leadership resulted in" makes me want to puke twice. But P2 was a great game and deserves to sell well.

It was one of the best games last year. There is no need for someone to post CV style writings on twitter. There is a risk someone might call you out on it publicly

They now give awards for the most "emotional game of the year"?

Yeah, the game doesn't sound like it's for me at all. But you do you.

"I am proud of my work"
Reminds me of that purple-haired Insomniac guy.

Would probably sell more if we could just buy physical copies in the store.
That and having more language options, would have more people around the world playing.

I watched the Double Fine Documentary on 'Broken Age' and hopefully one might be coming out for 'Psychonauts 2'.
Watching the doc I got the feeling that Double Fine works like Pixar, where creative types come in work on a project and then onto other things. Several People came and went during the development of Broken Age. They all seemed positive and helpful.

Not that it matters really, with Tim and team off to engagement number land anyway, but you gatta wonder how many of those sales were on the PlayStation platform? Just imagining without those sales their next game will have a harder time achieving similar numbers.

I just couldn't get into it......this being the first Psychonauts game I've ever played....but then generally I rarely get into platform games....be it Sonic or Mario...et all..

I much preferred the first Psychonauts tbh, woke agenda spoiled the sequel even further, but even without that, it just wasn't as good as the first game. Pretty though. Yeah she sounds full of herself.
People use woke (and ultimate combination: woke agenda) way too arbitrary and throw it around at literally anything. It's like you look under rocks and see something allegedly woke. I mean, what is the "woke agenda" in Psychonauts 2 to be precise? That there is a gay couple in the game? That Hollis Forsythe seems to be a bossy bitch? Gay people exist. Bossy women exist. Why shouldn't you put them in games? Holy cow. We'll reach a point someday where you can't even create and write a story without someone going "oh my oh my, there is a black guy in a main role and one of the females has purple hair, a clear example of the woke agenda ruining our children" and all that to the detriment of the writers creativity.
It's getting old and ridiculous, honestly, especially for games like Psychonauts 2 where huge amounts of effort are put into the dialogues, story, presentation, animations, etc.
And going by your comment, the first one was already woke("woke agenda spoiled the sequel even further"), even though no one used these words in 2005

So proud of MY team and " I left that place better than i found it". She takes credit for the place being better now. Christ almighty, you dont see this kind of narcisist everyday

That was my favorite part. The adage of "wanting to leave things better than you found them" is an old one and is reasonable. It's just the way it was done there in combination with the tweet before. The team probably lovers her though and I guess she did a good job, just an odd choice of phrasing here.

I've got to admit on my first read through I read that like the place was filled with a bunch of turds before, but she polished those turds so well. :messenger_grinning_sweat:

What are you talking about - Psychonauts 2 definitely does not have a woke agenda. I hate how often people around here accuse everything of being woke. It draws attention from the situations where that criticism is actually warranted.
