So I just read about this on the newspaper and my mind is full of fuck.

The leader of a 'neomasculinist' group who believes the rape of women should be legal if they are on your property has for the first time organised a series of meet-ups in cities across the world. Daryush 'Roosh' Valizadeh – the founder of controversial men's advocacy group Return of Kings – has revealed that eight cities in the UK would take part in its International Meetup Day, claiming his organisation had "finally arrived" and that members would no longer have to "hide behind a computer screen".

The meetups, on 6 February 2016, involve 43 countries, with a strict ban on women, homosexuals and transsexuals attending. Two events are to take place in London, with Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle Leeds, and Shrewsbury also hosting meet-ups. Members are to gather at named locations before saying a password, where they will then be allowed to follow the 'tribe' leader to bars to, presumably, attempt to pick up women.

The group, which shares tips on how to seduce women and promotes a male-dominant view of the world, has long been branded sexist with its leader accused of being a misogynist. A series of articles posted on its website have called for women to be banned from voting, described a woman's value as dependent on her "fertility and beauty", and claimed that women with eating disorders make the best girlfriends.

Daryush 'Roosh' Valizadeh is a real shitlord. You may have heard about him.

The 36 year old was born in Washington DC and is the son of immigrant parents from Armenia and Iran. After graduating from the University of Maryland with a degree in microbiology, he began a respectable career as an industrial microbiologist. But alongside his work as a scientist he began writing a blog called DC Bachelor, in which he authored posts under a pseudonym about "picking up" girls and gave "seduction" tips. Admitting that the "macho content" was questionable, Valizadeh said he lived in "constant paranoia that my employer would bust me" if they found out he was the author.

Eventually deciding to blog under his own name, he quit his job after six years and turned to writing full-time, publishing his first book Bang in 2007 – described as "a textbook for picking up girls and getting laid". It took a somewhat scientific approach to seducing women and became the latest in a long line of 'game' guides by other male 'pick-up artists'.

But it was a blog Valizadeh wrote himself in February of last year that gained him infamy, with the outrage going viral. The piece suggested that women who went back to a man's apartment and were subsequently raped should be blamed for not taking responsibility, and claimed the solution was to legalise rape on private property. He wrote: "I propose that we make the violent taking of a woman not punishable by law when done off public grounds. "If rape becomes legal under my proposal, a girl will protect her body in the same manner that she protects her purse and smartphone."

He has since claimed his post was satirical and insisted his writing "doesn't promote violence, harassment, or hate against any group". But gender-equality campaigners have attacked the post as just another example of his dangerous views, likening his writing to hate speech. Petition after petition has since called for him to be banned from countries he decides to visit and for his books to be pulled from the shelves.

Saw this in the papers today. Those are some wierd approaches towards "masculinism".

And by wierd i mean they sound batshit insane with a bit of a persecution complex mixed in.

But i've admittedly not dwelled too deeply into their ideology.

Fucking hell, this guy. Even ignoring the idea of LEGALIZED RAPE, can't you use the same logic to get rid of all laws everywhere? Legalize car-jacking! Drivers will still protect their property! Same with kidnapping! Oh you didn't protect your child in the park? Guess you didn't really care about them.

I remember when PUAs were relatively harmless and wore funny hats and makeup.

I also read The Game out of curiosity of what made the scene tick and much of this seems very different.

Seems the MRA influence has made them go nuts of late.

The meetup is to presumably organize and get hyped to go out and pick up girls. Any girls wanting to attend the first part probably aren't going to be supportive

I think they went nuclear well before MRA became a thing.

Somebody realized that many folks attending PUA seminars were hateful, highly repressed manchildren and decided to capitalize on their frustrations. A monster was born.

I actually feel bad for the socially awkward folks just trying to get some like a normal human being. I guess there's always DatingGAF!

They're meeting in a park across the street from the University I work at in Florida. The student newspaper effectively put out a "DON'T FUCKING GO OVER THERE" warning.
