Saw it in the eShop, but it's launching September 18th on pretty much everything
Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch (why do we still get Switch 1 games?)

That's right, Puzzle Quest is returning with brand new content and all previous adventures combined into the must-have Puzzle Quest Immortal Edition.

Choose your character class, take on quests, battle enemies in match-3 gameplay, learn new spells and abilities and rebuild Etheria in the classic Puzzle Quest experience, now upgraded in the Immortal Edition with gameplay improvements, 4K artwork, an exclusive character class and 40+ new items to help players on their adventure.

EXCLUSIVE TO PUZZLE QUEST IMMORTAL EDITION

4K artwork (on supported platforms)
A brand-new character class
40+ new items to help players on their adventure
3 previously released expansions included adding new quests

Love the old game, but these are the type that will get on iPhone something I can sit on the toilet and play for five-10 minutes

The only good Puzzle Quest game. This re-released a couple of years ago, so I guess it's time for them to milk it yet again.

Love puzzle quest, and have put hundreds, if not thousands of hours into it, playing multiple classes.

Why game companies take a winning formula, and trash it, will never make any sense to me. All puzzle quests after the first, are pure, unadulterated, garbage.

I'm getting it day1, have so many good memories playing the first Puzzle Quest (and also Galactrix to a lesser extent).

Plus it's not free to play or online, instead a normal paid singleplayer title.

Thinking about that mother******* final boss gives me PTSD. Never in all my life have I experienced a game AI that cheats as much as this game. Still loved it, though.

$15 on Switch. Might as well. I had this for the PSP ages ago.
Wonder what the discount will be for people (like me) who have the Legend Returns version.

For players who want to enjoy the full Puzzle Quest experience, we will be launching Puzzle Quest: Immortal Edition later in 2025. If you already own Puzzle Quest: The Legend Returns then you will receive an exclusive discount for the game when it launches as a thank you for supporting Puzzle Quest in the past.

Hope it's a pretty steep discount, if so this'll be a no-brainer there. Will probably also double-dip on GOG, just to encourage the behavior.

Nice to see there's a discount if you own The Legend Returns, pretty sure I bought it but really didn't play very much. If it's 50% or better I'll probably bite (but it'll probably be something lame like 20%)

First killer app on Switch 2.

I tried playing the original Puzzle Quest on Steam this year, and it's really, really rough on modern hardware. I'll definitely check this out.
Yeah it's super rough, and you can mod in the first expansion pack - assuming you have access to a hacked 360 that has the game files... which you can extract into the right directory in the PC version to upgrade it...

Yes, this will be a huge improvement over the original PC release.

Dang, I hope they add it to the Argentine eshop. The original for DS is one of my most played games, and one of the ones along Ouendan and Picross that scratched the hell out of my lower screen.

Ed: Oh, it is, cool. The previous version was never available for us. And it looks like they are using a nice font for mobile gaming, not sure how good the game is without the pen but hopefully it's just as good and addicting.

Nice, i was looking for a puzzle with rpg elements to fill the void that Might and Magic Clash of Heroes left in my heart

Will grab this for sure

Game is out now. $14.99 regular price, with a 20% launch discount making the game $11.99.

If you own the previous version on the Switch, you get an extra $1.50 off.

I remember loving the hell outta the original back on the 360. For less than $12 on Steam, it's a no brainer for me to pick up. Should look great on handhelds.

Oh yeah, 11,99€ on Steam. Could play it on the Steam Deck, but also kinda want it on the Switch 2 mhhh

edit: it's the same price on the eShop and I still have 30€ funds, so eShop it is

I'll look into this after I read some reviews. If it's very similar to the first game, it should be a reliably good game and I'll get it. If they changed anything up making it like 2 or that F2P game forget it.

The first game was so much better, faster, and battles were a fraction of the slogfest as #2 where battles go on forever in endless dungeon encounters. I beat #2 only by googling a tip I never knew about which is double equipping poison daggers with Assassin. It melts health every round so you'll win matches fast. Fighting the regular way with other perks took forever. When I originally had #2 I gave up. But then I went back and beat it a couple years ago doing the dagger tip.

I've played for about 4-5 hours today already lol

It's a remake of the first game, so it'll be mostly like you remember it - fast battles, good pacing, great combo potential, no F2P nonsense. No multiplayer at all, actually. The new class is fun, and they added a ton of new weapons, items, and spells to the game that make combos pop off even better if you optimize your build. This also has three expansions (the one that was originally Xbox 360 exclusive, the one that was Switch exclusive, and a new one) so there's plenty of stuff to do in-game.

So, if anything, it's probably better than you remember the first game being.

Great, thanks man. I'll look into it soon. But ya, first game was great. I was also a big Warlords fans back in the day too. But to be fair, I dont know how this game links up to Warlords in any way aside from some high level stuff like Etheria and Lord Bane. lol

Bought. I own everyone of these and the last version of 1 on switch. First played it on psp. Then puzzle quest 2 on ds. And galatrix. Puzzle quest 2 was alright. This then went to become the f2p gems of war which was great on the phone. The first game is still the best.

If you own the legend returns on the switch this game is 30% off.

I hope this sells so well, that the morons who made the other games in the series, make a direct sequel to this, or just add a ton of new content.

I'd pay a hefty price for an expansion.

You're in luck, this version includes a brand new expansion.

So which classes weren't in the base game? I think the game isn't telling that. And I assume the content from the expansions will show up later in the campaign?

Weird that they give you the option to play this at 30 FPS on the Switch (2). Maybe for saving battery power.

Doesn't seem to be an option on XBOX
