Quantum Break Gamersyde preview. HQ gameplay inside.

The next RYSE.

The next Uncharted 2. Impressive action, set pieces, crazy story, and gunplay. Pushes the system to its limit while using all kinds of Black Magic to create the crazy special effects and scenes you take part in.

There we go.

Now I've excited myself more. Haha

I do feel like Remedy has really improved from Alan Wake to Quantum Break. I liked Alan Wake, but it became quite repetitive at points due to the very samey scenery. You were always making your way towards specific locales but the journey there was often very long and drawn out.

In comparison, based on what I've played, Quantum Break feels crafted with each area being carefully tuned for the player. Every combat scenario feels unique and these encounters are broken up by alternative gameplay bits or story beats. I never felt that same feeling I got from Alan Wake where it just drags on.

I would love to listen to a podcast with top Naughty Dog and Remedy guys talking about their respective games. The insight would be quite fascinating.

Last big GIF from me (for now):

I don't know what they're doing with reflections, but they look ace.

Effects are awesome and looks like a really solid TPS. Can't wait to mooch off my best friend's Xbox to play this lol

Are there bullet casings that fall to the ground? Do they make sounds? How long until they disappear?

First time I've bothered watching gameplay, given that I only have a PC / PS4. But it looks awesome. Dem physics.

I'll probably pick it up for PC.

In working on a large analysis now. Yes, they do some insane stuff with time manipulation. I cannot imagine how much work it must have taken. That scene at the end of the Gamescom demo? Yeah, they do that stuff fairly often in very different ways. It's very impressive.

Please Dark stop. The wait is unbearable over here!

What instigated the strong distate in the console?

You know THAT E3 announcement, it's what caused my switch from 360 to go back into Sony's ecosystem. Maybe if the supposed upgrades to consoles are corrrect I'll wait a bit before I jump back in.

OK now just stop already .....please ;) sounds sublime. I really liked Alan wake so your just making me so hyped with these comments

Not sure that makes sense physically but looks cool. Then again I am sure much of this game does not make sense physically, as with all time travel games. Oh well.
Have you seen photos taken from traffic with long exposure time? So it results to lights leaving "trail" to picture. Just like in that scene when time is stopped/slowed down.

Damn you GAF, now I can't unsee the missing shell casings. :(

Or apparent lack of slide movement, or reload lol. It can be a bit wonky

This is kind of a let down. :( No gun animation or shell ejecting... nor them bouncing around on the floor? I mean, obviously is not a big deal breaker. But since you are this close to the character and the action is grounded in the same principle of detail, that missing seems to be pretty big.

Yeah, but that is due to exposure time, If time just stopped there would not be any exposure artifacts. Not saying anything is wrong with the game. It looks more stylish this way an the game looks great.

If time was stopped there wouldn't be any light...period. Be kind of a boring game, just running around in the dark.

Don't know what to say. I think the IQ is poor overall. The game has style and awesome effects, but its got a lot of misses in the environments and some characters during gameplay.

That makes no sense in that scene though. Those light streaks imitate long exposure, but in that case everything that moves would leave streaks just as long including every other object and person in the scene. For just some lights to leave streaks is a style choice alone.

Well, there would be light, you would just have to have your eyes run into it to see anything and even then it would probably be really dim (based on human running speeds).

OMG this game looks so beautiful! Remedy always rocking it! Can't wait to see and play it. Glad that good things are being said. This could be an great gem, one of the few new gems that this gen has given us that is not a sequel/spinoff

Of course it's style choice, it's just that there is very good reason why there are those streaks for example.

Partly understandable. You didn't like their direction. The "won't touch it" is I think too extreme.
Thinking about electronics I know I won't get, like Samsung phones/tablets, in fact any phone/tablet that is non-Apple or non-Google/non-Nexus, I'll only upgrade to a Sony TV, only upgrade to Nvidia GPUs, Intel CPUs, ...etc. The thought of never touching or getting anywhere near the ones I don't plan to buy never crossed my mind, I don't understand how one can feel such strong emotions regarding this particular situation.
¯_(ツ)_/¯

Game looks great.
Sadly i don't plan on buying an xbox one and i don't see myself buying a windows 10 store game any time soon.

I can't help but lol at the red colored propane tanks strategically placed around enemies in this game. My only other main gripe is the look of the main character, he looks too much like a guy who should be singing and dancing with NSYNC instead of running around shooting automatic weapons.

I don't like the choice of actor at all. The previous guy was fine, shame they changed him.

That is a sad story.

Whatever the resolution is, this looks insane. Some of the best graphics I've seen.

Hopefully, the PC version isn't screwed because that's where I'll be playing it.

I'm hesitant to support UWP/W10 store. I feel like I got burned by Gears already so I may just go for the XB1 version.
