Alright, so I'm enjoying this Quadron song, and so I'm gonna put this out there:

If you guys have any R&B albums you'd like to share, or any new R&B albums are coming out, feel free to just PM me with the news.

This doesn't pertain to modern R&B so much, but where would you guys recommend I start with R. Kelly? I'd like to get into his music but he has released a lot of shit. What would you consider his three most essential albums?

from the beginning. 12 Play. don't make a baby to that shit though. millions have fallen to that trap.

In my opinion...

Chocolate Factory
R.Kelly
TP-2.Com or R

Yeah 12 Play is a must and would probably have to cosign on R and Chocolate Factory. I have a special fondness for Double Up though as well.

Ciara's album is decent. Body party is the standout track for me.

Offtopic and more on the pop side: Skylar Grey's album is really good.

I miss this genre. Unfortunately it is almost impossible for me to find something that will top Lauryn Hill's debut album. As for recent R&B albums, Frank Ocean's Chanelle Orange was decent. Still haven't got around to listening to Justin Timberlake's album, my knowledge of music these days isn't great, so this thread should be good for me.

Great thread! I need some decent R&B after going AWOL due to the numerous crap that was pushed out over the years. Damn, the OP selected some tunes! Downloading and buying all!

I'll be honest and say after a couple of listens, I'm not massively enjoying the TGT album. I'll stick with it but it just sounds too generic to me.
