At first I thought this was a weird choice, but the fact that they'll count any new funds for the stretch goals is pretty cool.

Granzella will launch a second crowdfunding campaign for R-Type Final 2 on October 1 at 6:00 a.m. PT / 9:00 a.m. ET, which will run until Novmeber 1 at the same time, the company announced.
The previous crowdfunding campaign was supported by more than 8,000 backers and raised 98.8 million yen (aporox $914,000 USD). However, at Tokyo Game Show 2019 in mid-September, Granzella received feedback from fans such as "the campaign had been over before I knew it," "I wanted a reward," and "I didn't get my credit card ready in time." Thus, it decided to run a second crowdfunding campaign through the game's official website with PayPal as the only form of payment.
The stretch goals, which increase the quality and quantity of game components based on the funding level, will carry over from the previous campaign. Granzella will add the funds it receives to the amount it has already raised.
