I'll share it here as well. My comprehensive analysis of the RX 9600 XT 8GB. It includes benchmarks for 21 games and their average in rasterization, ray tracing, and general benchmarks, an overclocking section, 1440p gameplay videos, and even a segment dedicated to the 8GB VRAM controversy. It's probably one of the longest reviews I've ever done.

AMD wont be able to price gouge this one.

If you're losing the 5060 Ti 8GB then it needs to be $300. No more.

Not that I was ever going to get this, but what a dumpster fire of a card.

Cheaper* than the 8GB 5060 Ti.
That doesn't say much . For me ( personally ) even if it's up to 100$ more, I'll stick with the 5060ti 16gb .

Just for multi frame gen ( which is super needed for these kind of cards if your base frame is 60 and above and playing single player games ), better DLSS ( not much but still ) and better ray tracing .

Just don't see the card attractive at all .

Unless you are super tight on budget you can't put that much more ( and in this case I don't think GPUs should be a priority to you ) lol

Speaking in general not directly at u

I think $329 would have been a better price. A nice even $100 cheaper. A 3 figure difference sounds better vs a 2 figure one.

Get rid of the 8GB model and make this $300 and we have a winner. $350 is a high asking price.

So basically it has to sell below $400 or you'd be goofy not to get the 5060 Ti 16GB. Or if people were even smarter, spend that $400-$450 on a 7800 XT which is better than both the cards.

MFG is absolutely awful on this GPU. Very few games are going to get above 60 fps. You really need a base frame of 70 - 80 to make FG viable. AMD actually has very good framegen. In fact I used AMD framegen in Horizon Forbidden West (HFW) instead of nvidia on my 5070 Ti and 4090 setup. Why you may ask? Nvidia Frame Gen forces Reflex on. Reflex causes horrible microstutters in HFW. I turned on AMD FG (with nvidia DLAA), reflex off and I now have a butter smooth experience.

I am not going to pretend that is the norm for all games,

The only area that AMD still needs work is with ray tracing and nobody is using that on a 5060 Ti or a 9060XT.

EIther way, this isn't priced in a way that screams "Buy Me"

Last gen, I would have easily said nvidia was worth the premium, but the driver issues, QC issues and AMD catching up with FSR4 no longer makes nvidia worth paying a huge premium for.

I say this as someone who traded in their 9070XT for a 5070 Ti....go figure.

You're hilariously assuming the 5060 Ti is available at MSRP....

No, I'm not. I'm saying it doesn't make sense to buy the 9060 XT above $400 for what's offered. Might as well just get the 5060 Ti up to a point. Which is why I also said skip both cards and grab a 7800 XT that is faster than both. But again, if the 9060 XT comes out to be $430-$450 after the greed and tarrifs, spend that extra $20 on the 5060 Ti if you just absolutely have to be on the latest GPUs, lol

Sadly 7800XTs have also gone up in price, too. I havent seen one under $500 for a while.

Can't talk about USA but in Europe it's not hard to see it for 20-30€ less than it's MSRP.

While AMD cards have much more attractive official prices, the reality is you can easily find 5060, 5060ti, 5070 and 5070ti listed at a cheaper price than their MSRP, while the 9070 and 9070XT are most of the time, at least 50€ more expensive than the official price sadly, sometimes even more.

It will sell okish if its 350$ like with msrp, what im predicting card gonna be around 8gigs 5060ti in price, so around/over 400$ actually, maybe in few months worst/cheapest models will go down to 350 but thats it :P
I dont wanna hear our red fanboys complaining ppl not buying amd cards when current amd strategy is mark up of 20%+ vs msrp even when it comes to cheapest models with worse barebones cooling.

Im afraid/predicting that since 16gigs 5060ti streetprice is around 480usd, which means actual streetprice of 16gigs 9060xt will be nvidia minus 50$ so 430$(23% over msrp, kinda like 9070 xt+33% over msrp and non xt at +18% over msrp are atm).

And that is not enough to make casual consumers buy this card in droves, u need 100$+ difference aka u need to have widely avaiable 9060xt 16gigs models(so not 3 units at closest microcenter, that ffs doesnt fucking count) at/below 380$. streetprice, on amazon/newegg/other online stores.

Srsly if u guys look at price of rtx 5070, and 5070ti, they are less than 50$ difference between eachother(for cheapest models ofc), so either all retailers in the US(and if u compare prices then around the world) decide to sell those competing products at similar price range, or fricken amd simply made sure they are priced like that despite boasting around their fake 549/599 fake msrp prices...

I know i sound bit agitaded but really wanted for amd to stick it to nvidia just this once, so next gen both companies can offer us much better(and better priced) products.

Microcenter consistently has 5060Ti 16GB cards for $430. Basically no point in getting 9060XT unless it's say under $370.

Separately I think a used 4070 or 4070 Super would be best bet, but I have no idea on used prices for that.

Very solid card so far, even thinking on getting one before the 9070 XT to replace my 6700 XT just so I can have FSR 4 and better performance, I'll move it my desktop PC once the 9070 XT comes out anyway

DF...5060 stays winning! Smaller form factor, lower power, easily available at MSRP-discounts

There is always a spot for 5060, dont doubt Jensenmans

Yeah, I was hoping that this would be near the 4070 and this would be a decent GPU.

DF specifically said in the video not to buy the 5060. Or at least if you are interested in AAA gaming.

Maybe that's specific for couple of games but amd doesn't have the multi frame gen so you won't get the extra buttery smooth feeling ( lol )

As far as base frames . Both cards are about the same so amd can't be better than Nvidia in this case . Would still rather use multi frame gen

I don't see how this is bad if you want a 16gb card. It's probably not going to be terribly far above msrp since nvidia has been able to supply this market, which is the mass market segment anyhow.

My local MC doesn't have any of these listed for sale yet, while they had the 5000 series and 9070 series listed the day before.

Yeah, it's not a great GPU, but it isn't super terrible either, but it should be $300 and the 8GB $250
