Rampage Jacksons stupid ass son nearly kills a wrestler

Toots Toots he was waiting for someone to stop him?

Dude have you even saw the video? Multiple dudes had to muscle him away from the dude and he was still trying to get a last punch in while being tackled...
I saw the video, why doesn't the fucking referee jumps on him as soon as he starts wailing to the unconscious man on the ground ?
Was the referee scared to jump in (imo yes). Would raja stop sooner if the ref jumped on him, of course followed by the other wrestlers if the ref wasn't enough ? We'll never know, because the ref chose not to jump. Why no one talks about him ?

Things aren't simple most of the time, nothing is black or white. If raja was a bloodthirsty psychopath there would have been tells, he would not behave the way he did up to this tragedy.

Raja is insane, a loose canon with a very short fuse. Didn't even show any concern after beating up the guy and still trying to victimize himself. Should never be on the spot light ever again and he will be mocked for the rest of his life for being a killer.

I completely disagree. There's a saying in martial arts: no one can injure you like a white belt can. An experienced mixed martial artist knows exactly how to take someone down safely and throw strikes to miss or lightly hit the target. The fact Raja trains and has been around MMA all his life makes it even more disgusting and inexcusable.
You are missing the point of your own saying. You can be a black belt in grappling and a white belt in striking.

Good to have full context. A lot of factors by the look of it, even his own dad trying to wind him up without realising everything else that's going on.

I still don't know the best that they were hoping for by letting him in the ring. Stu fucked up with the can, yes, but when you send an outsider in to get a real receipt you risk Stu getting hurt and, depending on what happens, setting himself up for more injuries.

I just don't see a positive outcome even under perfect circumstances.

A pro wrestling referee's job is not the same as that of a MMA referee.

In pro wrestling the referee is part of the show, they are performers for the most part, and typically only intercede on direct instruction from the booker. They are just there to do what's required to get the finish as booked.

If someone "goes into business for themselves" its typically up to the other wrestlers to sort the situation out.

On the other hand a MMA ref's top priority is to protect the fighters, from themselves if need be.

Totally different scenario, and frankly had that happened at a proper show the boys would probably have kicked the ever-loving shit out of Raja in the ring. And no amount of MMA training would have saved his bitch ass because of the numbers.

That's not the point of the saying; it is a white belt cranks subs, slams and spikes, holds onto chokes, flings and flails and doesn't know how control their emotions sparring.

Raja is not a newbie to MMA; he knows how to spar lightly (both grappling and striking) without injuring his training partners therefore can apply that experience to wrestling works, yet he is clearly acting with vicious and violent intent with a complete disregard for Stu's wellbeing/life. Agreed?

We are talking about the referee being a pussy for the past 5-6 posts...

And no, this situation is definitely black or white, even having a bully father like millions of other people doesn't change the level of evil shit this guy did, i saw enough videos to have all the context possible.

Even the one when they say that a kick at half power during spar that barely caused him to lose some balance caused him to become a savage that was telling his chat how he was about to fuck another dude, that's not how a mild concussion work.

The only context that would excuse this behaviour is if the wrestler raped his sister or killed a member of his family, barely...

The point of the saying is sparring with someone who doesn't really know what he does or how to do it is dangerous. It's absolutely not about emotions or anything other than : the less technique you have the more spastic and dangerous you will be. That is why you can be a black belt in a martial art and a white in another one. It is about your technical knowledge. If you think it is about emotions change gym dude there is something really wrong in a place where white belt feel they have anything to prove to upper ranked practioners.

Raja knows how to fight and his strength i agree. Yet he doesn't know if the wrestler knows how to fight or his strength.
He acts like a mma fighter is supposed to act in a mma cage (you give real blows and don't stop until the referee tells you to). The problem is that he isn't in a mma cage but in a wrestling ring, that the rules and practices are totally different, but he might have been under the impression that they actually were not (which would make him very dumb for sure, but he is rampage son...)
Im not saying it absolves him of everything, but imo it is not the same as bloodthirsty killer who wanted to murder a guy.

Still an avalanche of blows to an unprotected head is not something a "sane" person would do. I can find no excuse for that. I could explain it by some kind of prison mentality where fucking up some guy really bad sends the message "don't fuck with me" to everyone else.

This just reminded me of a bar fight I saw once when I was younger. It was from a distance and I have no idea what caused it but I saw the guys face afterwards and because it was flat against the floor, like this wrestlers, it just swelled up terribly. It was frightening to see. That was from fewer hits and not a pro. My god his face must be wrecked. Pretty sad stuff.

"Thank you everyone for your prayers, concerns, and kind words for my brother Stu. Please continue to keep him I your prayers," Andrew Smith wrote, with two photo attachments. "He's currently stable but in critical care. At this time we're focused on his recovery and appreciate all the support. Also we currently do not have a GoFundMe set up, any links posted are not affiliated with us."

Douglas Malo, one of the wrestlers who stepped in to halt the alleged assault, told USA Today that Smith was awake and talking, but had broken bones in his face and lost "a lot of teeth."

LAPD still investigating. Guessing they will issue a warrant sometime this week.

That's not true my brother got in trouble with the law as a young man never once did my dad defend him or make excuses for him. Was my Dad visiting him every weekend? Yes, but he never defended him or made excuses for my brother
Your dad is a real one! He did what a father should do,show his children that their actions have consequences and that you are responsible for said actions. Therefore teaching him that there's a lesson to learn from this so he can never repeat it again.

Raja being defended by his father after doing such a vile act trying to keep him away from the consequences of his own actions is basically enabling him to do such things in the future as well. That's not what a good parent does!

I feel like Raja's defense will lean hard into the

A. He was mentally unwell due to a concussion sustained a few days prior to the event, or

B. Cyber bullying, or

C. Raja is not a professional wrestler and did not understand the environment, procedures, or his role at the event. Raja believed that the combat was real, and was instructed to hit Syko Stu. Referee didn't stop the fight, etc

Make no mistake, I think the guy is guilty as shit and should spend a handful of years behind bars, but I've seen people get off on much less.

I hope he gets made an example of. This online clout chasing shit needs to be deterred.

These morons are getting way too comfortable doing vial shit while knowingly being recorded live in 4K.

Considering there is actual video showing premeditation, which is an un-contestable aggravating factor... I don't think he has a defence!

The argument that he wasn't "smart" to pro wrestling just isn't going to fly.

The case is basically he got his fee-fee's hurt because he felt he'd been punked on camera and deliberately set out to seriously hurt a guy who had already apologized and seemingly squashed the beef with.

Beyond that, its mainly a matter of law as to how they choose to judge the severity of the assault, as in whether it rises to the level of attempted murder.

Either way, who'd want to deal with a fighter that undisciplined ? That much of a bitch-made idiot that he'd try and sneak attack -LIVE ON STREAM- a guy he's supposed to be COOPERATING with in the ring.

Best case scenario is that the Rampage slides Stu a big enough bag that he doesn't press charges. Trouble is, its way too public a fuck-up to bury, so I think the police will prosecute anyway....

All easy to counter:

He got kicked at half power and you can see how he barely lose some balance in the video, that was not a flash ko or some shit, that was a mild concussion at the very, very worse, and a concussion doesn't turn you into a feral animal, not how a concussion work or we would have mma fighters going into a killing spree after every event.
Many fighter go 5 round of being hit in the head without a concussion at the end, some of them already train or run 10 miles the day after, unoess he has a medical document that prove a strong concussion, he is fucked, and even with the medical document, after a concussion you need to rest, it's on him if he decided to go out at a wrestling event instead of resting, you can't use that as an excuse.

Grown men, mma fighter bullied by a fucking chat on kick? Good luck trying to prove that chat pressure is enough to transform a docile kid into a killer.
And rampage is never gonna admit that he bullied his son, so that is also off the table.

Dude is a professional mma fighter, he may notknow the wrestling shtik but he know what wrestling moves are damaging and not to punch an already koed dude 30 times at full power, the excuse that the referee did nothing is beyond pathetic, a 10 years old kid would understand that 30 unaswered punches are possibly lethal, but somehow it's to hard to understand for 25 years old mma fighter? Lmao

Even if someone told him to get his revenge, i sincerely doubt they told him to power slam the dude on the back of the head THAT CAN BE LETHAL ALREADY BY ITSELF, and proceed to punch him short of 30 times at full power, and even if some crazy dude who hate sykostu told him to do that, no decent human would do that anyway.

If this dude doesn't get long jail time, US is beyond fucked.

Professional mma fighter: slam another dude on the the back of his head and try to viciously separe his soul from his body.

Kacho: but is he a bad person per se tho?
Yeah I don't think he's a bad person. Mentally unstable? Sure. He's just an idiot that allowed strangers to work him up and his emotions got the best of him. He will be punished and he'll live with the shame for the rest of his life.

We have a different meaning of what evil means then.

No amount of chat pressure would ever force me to kill a man in front of childrens in the crowd.

Stupidity and peer pressure can only explain that far.

Mentally unstable seems like an excuse tbh.

How much time do you think he should get

What in the ever living fuck with that pin after the guy was unconscious???
No idea what is the jail time for premeditated murder but usually every time i hear a sentence for a killing i always think it's not enough, so this would probably be the case aswell.

If it was for me, no less than 30 years.

A dude that can be so easily pressured by a chat into such a feral behaviour is not safe for society.

I think people should rewatch the beating and see how focused he was on doing the max damage even when people were trying to wrestle him away, that is a ticking bomb ready to explode again if left free.

Damn, 30 years minimum. Well, if what I'm seeing around the internet is any indication people are out for blood with this guy. I'm clearly in the minority on this one, which is strange because I'm usually like you expecting harsh sentences.

looks like just wanting to end the match in a way that keeps the kayfabe in tact, that's generally the course of action when a shoot happens, though more experienced wrestlers might find more creative ways, like attacking the ref to force a DQ.

sorry if i ask, but what is a keyfabe?

Did they tried to play dumb to not terrify the crowd?

It's the basically not breaking character under any circumstances, once the wrestlers have the crowd's eyes on them they are supposed to sell a storyline, and if something unfortunate happens they should work around it as much as possible; this is so they can then later use whatever happened as part of the future storylines.

Sound a bit cringe and unimportant when a dude is laying there half dead, ngl.

But then again, i'm not a wrestling fan, only saw something in italy when smackdown was on.

Hopefully the dude is healthy enough to be in future storylines.

Disgusting.

Now i feel even less sorry for calling these people pussies.
People think just because they have muscles they are tough.
These guys are faking shit. Like, they are learning how to pretend to hit other guys without doing anything.
If that's not a definition of beta I don't know what is.

I think there's a bit of panic and inexperience going on here as well, you can see the ref making an 🙅‍♂️sign with his arms, this means a shoot happened and the match should be ended, but then I guess he saw the other guy going for the pin and just decided to roll with it.

Still a more tough "sport" (hobby?) than volleyball or basket or soccer, unexperienced wrestlers probably don't know how to perfectly fake a hit or slam so they probably do more damage than a professional wrestler because they can't perfectly control their strenght.

There is a thin line between fake hit and fake hit that still hurt asnd the average joe would probably get hurt even by a perfect fake hit, so at least you need to have some pain tolerance at the very least.

i heard that even some professional wrestlers were terrible and were hated because they damaged the opponent too much, i think i recently heard about bill goldberg damaging another fan favourite and fucking up his career but i can't remember the name...

Lots of poor judgement calls

You've got:
  • a one wrestler that decided to smash someone he had never met with a can because he "assumed it was a work" despite having never met him and a non-gimmicked can being an awful idea
  • a promoter/booker that decided that was a good idea to let the angry recipient of the unfair can shot get in the ring hours later
  • another wrestler who gave an outsider clearly furious about something explicit consent to not work and hurt the dude
  • a ref that did nothing to help and tried to kayfabe it despite to the point of encouraging a pin after watching a wrestler be battered half to death a couple feet from him
None of them created the raging bull, but they're what put him there. I do have some amount of sympathy for the ref because there's no way you're not blindsinded and stunned by that. It's easy to say he should have done something (he really should have done something) but in the first few seconds he must be trying to separate the work from reality. By the time that might be clear in the heat of the moment Raja is already a slam and 6 punches deep - it happened very quickly.

I've been saying this is an outlaw mudshow, but I'm wrong. Rikishi co-founded the promotion and they had WWE ID status.

Article:
The California-based wrestling school and promotion co-founded by Rikishi, Knokx Pro, has quietly stripped its social media of any WWE affiliation, removing the "WWE ID" branding from headers and bios as of this afternoon, according to PWInsider. The move appears to signal a severing of ties between WWE and the academy, which has been under intense scrutiny following the violent incident involving Raja Jackson last weekend.

I get the feeling Andre/AJ is done after his heavy hand in the irreperable damage to that brand.

I know absolutely nothing about this Wrestling universe but dude that video is horrible. People took wayyy too long to control that freak, had they not done that he would've killed the wrestler. He was absolutely mad.

Hopefully this shithead goes to jail.

The initial mistake was dumb. Letting him get revenge in a script when, from the first incident, he clearly didn't understand the concept of scripts, was also really dumb.

However, he is on video saying he was only allowed a couple hits, but that he was going to get in as many as he can. There is also the video afterwards where he is furious saying he doesn't let anyone play games and make a fool of him (still not understanding scripts), so what he did was premeditated malicious revenge.

His dad says he isn't a wrestler but MMA so he doesn't understand the scripted stuff. Okay well then as an MMA surely he understands how deadly 20 punches to the skull of an unconscious man can be.

He understands full well his own strength and the severity of the strikes AND is on video saying he purposefully went beyond what anyone expected to the greatest extent he "could get in" only to prove a point that people shouldn't mess with him.

That is an absolute psychopath who should never be allowed in society.

Whether it's MMA or wrestling, lets face it guys. Most of these guys are total meatheads, die early, are drugged up. And their job (whether it's scripted wrestling or real MMA) is to work out all day, act tough and beat each other up in front of screaming fans.

Not exactly scholarly people you're dealing with.

Disagree, at least for mma, many honorable fighters that shake hands at the end and have respect and even some laugh and banter during the fight while they are tryin to kick the other dude head off, they are in extreme control of theeir emotions even in such a stressful situation.
Very few of them actually act though in front of the camera, most of them are super chill.

People like gsp are not an inch less honorable than a jordan or a brady.

And almost every time there is a huge ko and the other dude doens't get up you see the other dude genuinely worried unless it's a a sucker punching thug like masvidal.

They are not more hot heated than NFL or nba athletes, i honestly hear more stories of domestic beating from these 2 sports than from mma fighters, but it may be just a coincidence.

Yep, Rampage and his son are the exception, not the rule. MMA has deep roots in martial arts disciplines where honor and (genuine) mutual respect are important. This whole incident is shameful and not representative of the sport.
