- The Playgear Pocket is the best accessory available, if you're taking it outside the house. Hell, even if you're not.

I agree 100% with this. PSP button layout makes long gaming sessions impossible me. It just too uncomfortable. :\ wtf where they thinking.

As a portable gaming machine, the PSP leaves a lot to be desired in terms of basic function: durability, battery life, responsive controls and no loading are not sexy system sellers, but they make a big difference where it matters.

Personally my biggest problem is loading times. It takes too long to start up a game, and to switch to the media functions. If Capcom does a shitty port job of SFA3 like they did Darkstalkers I'm gonna be disappointed. The analog should be activated for 2d fighters because it feels like a NGPC clickstick sorta, and Capcom needs to resolve the 25 second loadtimes inbetween matches.

Also touching play on the remote should automatically bring you to your music playlist (maybe it does in the new firmware?).

Most worthless D-pad and analog nub make gaming a pain in the ass.

Not to keep this topic entirely negative, I'm really impressed by the battery life. Sure it doesn't last as long as the GBA, or DS but it keeps a slim profile and lasts atleast 6 hours for me.

Also the hacking and shit is fun. Although it ruined one of my memory sticks.

I can't say I'm disappointed, I've gotten a fair amount of use from it. Especially from homebrew apps and what not. I don't carry it on me that much, mostly because it's not quite portable enough to just slip into my pocket.

It would be great to play alongside the PS2 version too but the franchise mode on PS2 seems to take 3 hours to simulate a season so I took it back.
