As for George R R Martin, I gave up on him ever finishing Books 6 and 7 a long time ago

First Law. Like everyone else I read through GRR's work then adopted the "don't trust his lies.png" attitude toward the guy. I did like the world of elden ring...but I would really like him to finish the series most folks know him for.

I picked up I&F after Robert Jordan died. Figured I would jump into another heavy fantasy series and there would be "NO WAY" the same thing would happen to me with another book series.

Yeah it is...and I know people think Sanderson can do no wrong but for me after spending so many years reading Robert Jordan's work, I did not like how Sanderson wrapped up the series.

I fully admit it could just be my bias, but yeah, I hated it. I treid to get into Sandersons other work but have bounced off of every one I have tried to read. Just personal preference/opinion, but I think Sanderson is a "young adult" author and it feels like his storytelling is constantly talking down to me.

I am a bitter old man yelling at clouds here probably but I don't care for Sanderson.

I'm a fan of Sanderson but even I admit he has faults. And yes he does come off as writing for young adults. But for me it's the universe building and magic systems that I feel he excels at, his characters can be boring with a few exceptions. I did enjoy Wind And Truth but I found that book to be a bit disappointing in comparison to his other books.

There are few exceptions but that's one of his weakness

And I don't like the way he writes humor

If anything I'm not as excited for his next book due to how disappointing Wind And Truth turned out to be

You seem to be a very well versed reader so I probably don't have any recommendations that you haven't heard of/tried. I always mention the Bob-iverse series and the Dresden Series to folks. I don't think they get enough exposure and I enjoy them both.

The moderation on Reddit is so bad.
I created a burner account for a day and during that time posted on a subreddit where a mod thought I was an A.I. bot according to the ban message and banned the burner from their subreddit.
I thought "what do I care, this is just a burner". I deleted my burner account by the end of the day.
Today I post on that subreddit on my main account and get banned from the subreddit for ban evasion. I reply to the mods and tell them what happened, then they unban me. All good.
Then I post on the subreddit again and this time Reddit itself bans my whole account for a week for ban evasion.
I submitted an appeal but who knows how long that's going to take.
The burner account was completely deleted so I can't even log back in to try to appeal that ban on that account. I gave them the account name and tried to explain what happened though. Hopefully they can read my chat messages with the mods to see for themselves what happened. They only gave me 250 characters to try to explain in the ban appeal.
This is a mess. I assume they're tracking my I.P. I was never an A.I. bot in the first place

edit: I just got a message that my ban appeal was denied and my ban will stay in place.
The mods of the subreddit themselves unbanned me because it was an error. Sigh.
