Ratchet and Clank PS4 Reboot Delayed To 2016, Out Spring 2016

So what are the 2015 Sony exclusives then? The order, Bloodborne and God of War remake?

sony doesnt have much coming out later this year, also persona 5. But sony doesnt have big hitters coming out late this year. Maybe and uncharted remaster collection, but I am tired of remasters

until dawn and many digital exclusives like rime, everybody gone to the rapture, no mans sky, tomorrow children(probably retail as well) , maybe shadow of the beast?

not to forget japanese games like disgaea 5, persone 5 hopefully, dragon quest heroes etc...

Tearaway, Until Dawn, Drawn To Death( i think that's 2015), Rime, Persona 5.

Disgaea 5, Dragon Quest Heroes and The Tomorrow Children as well. Very likely we'll get Tales of Zestiria on PS4 this year too. Great line up in my opinion, but they really need to get their shit together. Every first party title seems to be getting delayed.

thats my concern and its annoying get your first party games in order. Also what ever happened to guerilla games new ip, havent heard anything about that since the leaked screens which was last year....

No Man's Sky will be 2016, I bet.

Probably ask this again after E3.

It will probably be at this years E3. They didn't want to announce it too early.

I'd be okay with this though.

For real. This delay will only make this game greater. It's comforting to know that it's more that the game is getting delayed because of the movie stuff instead of it being the other way around. Think about how much stuff could be fleshed out and polished with that extra time. I welcome this.

This, the movie...

thats great and i hope so but it is deff not coming out until 2016. other than bloodborne, its a lil lack-luster for ps4 first party wise

Agreed.

Does MS have anything other than Forza, Fable, Halo and the rumored Gears of War remake this fall/winter?

Which is weird because the PS4 was supposed to be easy to develop for.

I dunno what's up with the industry these days.
Ease of development does not make it easy to make a game up to snuff.

Here's a list of exclusives either confirmed or probably coming out this year for the PS4:

Disesga 5
Everybody's Gone To The Rapture
Fat Princess Adventures
That Gundam MMO (Just got released, Japan only!)
Hot Shots Golf
Omega Quintet
Onechanbara Z2: Chaos
Rime
Shadow of the Beast
Tearaway Unfolded
The Tomorrow Children
Until Dawn
Wild

Then you have these titles that will becoming to the PS4, some of which are upgraded and adding more content, and THEN there's a bunch that are primarily console exclusive. That's not even including the Tales game I just missed, or whatever else arrives at E3/Not-Gamescom/Tokyo Gameshow.

Y'all need to chill.

Which is weird because the PS4 was supposed to be easy to develop for.

I dunno what's up with the industry these days.

Easy to develop for is such a small thing during game development. You have time crunches, bad bugs, wanting to add more content, avoiding the same release date as heavy hitters, not enough advertising room to fit the games in and get them the proper amount of attention (poor, poor Tearaway), etc.

to much ambition not enough time, or wasnt as powerful as they thought so maybe have to dial back what they wanted to do

so the question is.....Was the movie delayed because the game ? Or was the game delayed because of the movie?

Which one needs more time

Sony just needs to give us what we all want for the holidays, a re-release of The Order with additional lycan DLC.

What? Preview what? I bet we will see R&C at E3 this year.

Preview that shit happens? You can't deny they're traspassing the line when it comes to delay their exclusive titles! I can understand some delay here and there, but Sony is pretty mich delaying every AAA for PS4. If they're that much unsure about the release date, then its better to not give any release info, let it for when they're safer to state it. That should not be seen as normal, not when it becomes frequent.

Tearaway, Until Dawn, Drawn To Death( i think that's 2015), Rime, Persona 5.

As someone who generally prefers my PS4 to my XB1, I can't get excited about that potential lineup. Could really use at least one of the staple franchises.

Im not sure but halo is a guarantee it will deliver along with forza those games are solid, except the part where they over estimated the xboxone power wise. Fable no idea how that will be, they have been on a decline since 2 I believe

My guess is devs stayed focused on PS3/360 for way too long and didn't even touch the PS4 until 2014. They didn't expect people would be thirsty for new hardware after the greater good of a decade and no we're all suffering for that judgement.

Seriously, what the hell IS coming this year?

I am genuinely curious what big AAA exclusives Sony has coming out in 2015.

I know E3 is right around the corner but as of right now, what do we know?

Until Dawn, maybe?

All I needed was Bloodborne and Persona 5 this year. Whatever else comes is just bonus. Looking forward to Tearaway Unfolded and Rime as well, if they make this year. Rime at E3 hopefully.

I'll say again, I'm fine with this. Crack in Time had a relatively short development time a bunch of stuff cut. Even then, it still turned out to be the best Ratchet game to most people. Pretty much all of the games have short development times. (CiT had one of the shortest dev cycles in the series from what I recall) I really want to see the game very fleshed out, so I'm good with waiting.

So the game is being delayed because of the movie? I was thinking it'd be the other way around, lol.

Hmm... I worked on the game and I don't think it's fair to say a bunch of stuff got cut. It had a shorter development cycle than Tools of Destruction, but we had that game to build on top of.

The Order, Bloodborne, Dragon Quest Heroes, Drawn to Death, RIME, Persona 5, Tales of Zestiria, God of War Remaster, Final Fantasy X Remaster, Disgaea 5, Until Dawn, USF4, Omega Quintet, Toukiden Kiwami, Teraway, Deception 4, Journey Collector's Edition, Godzilla, Onechanbarra, One Piece and more.

Of those, i own or am going to own

The Order, Bloodborne, Dragon Quest Heroes, RIME, Persona 5, Tales of Zestiria, Final Fantasy X Remaster, Disgea 5, Until Dawn, USF4, Toukiden Kiwami, Deception 4, and Journey, maybe Teraway.

Hopefully Fairy Fencer F Remaster, The Witch and the Hundred Knight PS4 and Yoru No Nai Kuni come west this year.

These are all retail titles. As has been said constantly, Sony still has had a packed year

I still am not understanding what you are trying to get at by using the word preview. Also, trespassing the line? Sorry.

All Sony has said about a possible release date for R&C was 2015 and we haven't even seen a formal reveal of the game yet. I am not sure this is something that would be betraying their fanbase. The larger issue of not many first party games in the fall/winter, sure.

Heh, remember when we consoled ourselves through a lackluster 2014 by looking forward to how stacked 2015 was going to be?

See you gents in the inevitable "Persona 5 delayed to 3rd quarter 2016" thread.

I have to ask, but does Shuhei, as President of WWS, plan anything in terms of 1st party releases?

This is the 2nd Holiday in a row now that's looking beyond weak, with Holiday 15 now looking even deader than Holiday 14.

I honestly feel he is doing a piss poor job as President.

What a joke.

I'm just going by what was in the Insomniac museum. I was scarred for life when I figured out hoverboot races were cut because of time constraints.

Also the procedurally generated arena challenges which sounded very interesting.

Pretty sure they said it was coming first half of 2015 when they announced it. Obviously that wasn't gonna happen since they haven't shown it yet but still.

The funny thing is, is that there is more to selling a console than just holiday games these days. This is abundantly clear by the sales figures for the PS4.

You're right, apologies.
