Yeah, but I've always found it really difficult to find here. Maybe it's just the area I live in, I don't know. I guess it isn't popular.

Food from Amazon... >>

What's wrong with food from Amazon? I'd totally do it if it was offered in Canada...

Oh, and I suppose it's time for a new avatar.

I was talking about this with a few other people today and, I love this thread and have made friends here and possibly future accomplices, but it's kind of weird we're getting the clique accusations.

So I've decided to be a bit more welcoming and, if I notice someone new, say hi and involve them in the conversation. I think the people accusing us of being a clique are people who don't think it's welcoming for us to be mid-conversation, but if they see other people doing it and us getting them involved in the discussion, it might help.

It's like if you walked up to a group of people at a party and said hello. Even if they said hi and didn't shoosh you away, you're still going to feel awkward until they actively involve you. Unless you're one of those smooth bastards that doesn't, in which case, I wish I were you.

H.Protagonist has been doing it right for a few days, so follow her lead, if you'd like. We can make the thread feel better for everyone that way and get more souls for Lissar to steal participants to talk with.

my cousin is allergic to the stuff. can't help but feel that he's missing out on one of the greater pleasures of life.

I absolutely adore nutella. I can't buy it very often because when I start eating it I often don't stop.

I know someone allergic to all nuts, or so they say. I couldn't imagine giving up nuts. They're so delicious!

You're never sober, so the point is moot. ;)

Mmm... Don't think I've tried IRC since high school. I like TC to a degree. It usually starts off well then gets very laggy. The video/mic is total novelty. I've never done that before. Very different (in good and bad ways).

IRC is still used pretty heavily and there's tons of simple web interfaces for using it.

You drank a manga? How does that work, pray tell?

I'll I can say is that you have to put the volume in question through a blender first. O_O

Now THIS is impressive.

You must teach me this skill.

It is important for our... conquering of the RP thread.

By drinking a manga through a straw I mean you find someone who has read a manga and then drink their brain through a straw. O_O

You... you're new, too... I like your hat. And fork. I covet both.

I confess it's just for harvesting purposes later on, but friendly is good for all! :D

And to think, I was thinking about changing it.

Not so new, I was here earlier on, but this thread is almost impossible to keep up with reading, much less posting. Still, a very fine hello to you as well!

Well, then, welcome back. ^_^ It does move rather fast. I like that I can pop in whenever and just join in, though. Very comfortable and entertaining. :)

yeah, that's why he can't eat nutella, he's allergic to nuts. he can't have ferrero rocher either. that's gotta suck.

You... you're new, too... I like your hat. And fork. I covet both.

i was in here earlier as well, but like someone mentioned the thread moves pretty quick. funny though, i was mentioning how my computer was named snowcrash, lol. nice to meet you!

as for the hat and fork... well, they are both very covetable.

Ahh. At first I thought you meant to type mango but the imagery was still too silly.

Mine is named Diamond Age (j/k, it's actually called 'duck' because it seemed more absurd). Pleasure to meet you, and do keep returning with the hat and fork. I sense a new theme day from this...

I got two guns...

I sure hope you're alluding to a Bonny and Clyde crime spree because I am ready! Meet you on the roof of Capitol Records. Let us target illegally parked Bentlyes and partake of the bacon (OK, TURKEY bacon) wrapped hotdogs permeating Hollywood. :D

Have a wine of choice? Style, appellation/viticultural area, varietal, producer, vineyard etc?

The correct answer: whatever's within arm's reach.

I'm more a fan of reds than whites, though recently I've come to appreciate Chardonnays (Cupcake 2009 was a surprising nice find) and slightly sweet stone fruit vintages. For reds I like the meatier offerings and will beeline towards anything Chilean or Argentinian. Malbecs have also been an unexpected delight. Yourself?

Fuck, I didn't even realize the due date is tomorrow.

Not sure what I'd do with that theme either.

you are entering though right? ronito entered. So you'll get a decent crit and all. on top of the super awesome crits you get every week anyhow. :P

btw my head is totally blank now, but I'm sure you posted a couple cool music vids a couple of days ago; but because the artist/band is so damn obvious, I can't for the life of me think who it was. Sleep is calling me.

Ooh, does that give you access to all their knowledge?

Ahem--TO THE UNIVERSITY!

I always wanted to be an evil genius.

The evil part was easy.

You guys ever go wine tasting? For awhile, some of my college friends and and I would go up to Napa Valley ever year and get sloshed on good wine for the whole weekend. Fun times. Haven't gone in three years because of my travels, but they're still doing it.

Hmm, I have recommended a bit of music in this thread. A few days ago? Might have been The Cure. I said that a few gateway drug songs for The Cure were Plainsong, Lovesong and Just Like Heaven.

Morning GAF..... last workday hurray!

So did I miss anything? Any concrete plans for a themeday?

We should do a "Make yourself look similar to your regular avatar" day. I know some people already did that. Wouldn't be fair to HP though. She'd just use her old avatar >>

haha! actually, another computer is called "primer" after diamond age. wouldn't it be cool to have an illustrated primer?

new theme day, huh... i could get behind this.

Wine drunk is...bad for me.

It does things other kinds of alcohol do not do. I try not to get wine drunk anymore.

i love wine drunk! i'm generally a happy drunk, but on wine i am gleefully happy for some reason.

The only time I went to a vineyard I didn't drink any.

It was for a fairy festival. I'm such a geek. :<

Lissar, what did you think of the latest character ideas

Feedback :O

I've actually been sketching since I got home! I like the Fallout idea, though I don't think I want to go too post-apocalyptic punk with the designs. I don't mind going somewhere towards that direction though.

I love going to wine tastings. I used to go with a college buddy when I was 19 and we were the only under 50 people there. They seemed really happy to have us, though. It's probably one of my most desired 'activities' to do now. I don't enjoy getting shitfaced by any degree, but I love tasting wine and discussing it in a social setting, especially with people who know their grapes.

<.< >.> I could do it like my box head avatar, I guess. I'd just look like a robot, though.

The cure are good. but it was somebody else. And someone as obvious as that though, you're on the right track. pun not intended. Gah, now I'm not gonna rest till I remember.

Wine drunk is usually great for me. It made me quote the entire scene where Michael confronts Fredo in The Godfather pt 2 to my sister while we were eating thanksgiving dinner. I'd had about a bottle and a quarter by that point and was giggling hysterically.

Unfortunately, I woke up one morning after a bottle and it felt I could smell the wine in my brain. Like, I could still smell it while exhaling. Felt terrible.

That would be...... hard hahaha. How can I look like a chibi kraken :P

With your hat you're like half way there!

Less punk and more class, was my thought.

There's a world's worth of ideas from that era and most media seems to just focus on greasers and creepy commercials.

I actually stopped by the library to flip through some design an artbooks that deal with things from that era. I got particularly interested in the style from old film noir posters, though I don't think I'd make my designs so dark and sleazy.

I like to try pretty much anything, but my palate leans Old World. For whites, German Rieslings, especially the drier Prädikats (terrific price/quality ratio), and white Burgundies (depressingly expensive). For reds, red Burgundies (especially entranced by Chambolle-Musigny), right-bank Bordeaux, Barolos, and Barbarescos (hysterically expensive x4). Among sparklers, blanc de blancs champagne. I don't drink much sweet wine, but I'd pick sauternes and sweeter Prädikat rieslings. Also a fan of sherry and port.

I'm not an alcoholic, I swear.
