I can't wait to hear a Crapgamer response after hearing him QQ about the 30.2m PS4 consoles sold video.

I don't think this is gonna change somenthing
Analogy of the year and it came just in time. Holy smokes lol. It's like getting another member added to the Ginyu Force.
OK this one is the best. It's like getting another member added to the Ginyu Force.
CPU has nothing to do with AF.Maybe we will get an update for BF4 and Hardline to get a smoother performance during 64 player matches. DICE has been pretty good with post launch support, so it could happen.
Hopefully that core can at least be used for AF that many games have been lacking.
You keep going on about this "lucky" nonsense as if it serves some meaningful insight. Having a flexible architecture design and silicon budget that you can then significantly increase upon if the chance becomes available is smart design. Has shit to do with luck. Its a good thing to be able to take feedback and improve your machine.Microsoft couldn't rely on lucky 11th hour design changes with their set goals in mind for the original X1 plan. That is why the APU is what it is. The die is larger because of it (if they had similar luck 6 months prior in some alternate universe and put the extra die space into CUs it would have a better gpu, for example - but that's neither here nor there)
Will this fix Bloodborne's framerate?
So no?Nothing wrong with BB's framerate, what that is is framepacing, a software issue that can be patched, but most likely won't be for that game

PS4 is a beast.
I do wonder what they dropped to free up the core
Is it full 7th core, or partial access like X1's?
Nothing but awesome news. Wonder if they will be able to pump any extra magic into Uncharted 4 in time...
Should be interesting to see how much of a gap this is going to create between X1 and PS4. Of course there is already a gap but it honestly isn't as big as I expected. Most of the time it's a resolution difference and not much else. Is it known if this can be done for X1 as well?
it's already been done.
Hopefully they get the firmware team on the RAM reductions too like how they did PS3. Didn't PS3 go from 120MB reserved for the OS to like 40MB after a few years?

Even if it is, that would still mean that it's 4x slower. The iPhone 6S Plus should at single threaded performance is probably there.

On a system level, it is probably fair to compare vs 8 cores in this case, as you definitely don't have 100% of both A9 cores dedicated to single app while it's running either. There's lots of background tasks that they're taking care of as well.So the A9, it's probably actually doing a bit better than the consoles on a single core basis, though yes, having 7 cores still puts them well ahead.
I'm surprised Nintendo still wasn't arsed to release any of that fully /half/ of it's system RAM that's reserved for the OS. Going from 1GB free to 1.5 would be a sizable difference. Probably more of one than 16% more CPU power to go at.
better resolution and better performance are enough to show the gap between the two, some games have better effect too like MGSV... i don't know why people are waiting for a generational difference lol.
Wow now they just have to free more ram memory from the Os to games
because the system was not designed to use more than 1GB of memory, thats more than was needed for Nintendo and they are always very exact with those specifications, for some reason, its like giving a senzu bean to an earthling.
CPU has nothing to do with AF.
Uh, excuse me?

Also, "needed for Nintendo" is fine and well, but that just solidifies that they still don't give a shit about third party, despite what they say.
The 3DS even had a high RAM game mode that would push more OS functions aside, the Wii U really should too.
