"Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen | PS4"

Lol they can't even hold a 10 years old game.

I usually don't have a problem with the length of time games have on these services so much as the uncertainty of them. It would be great to have more transparency by putting an end date whenever a new game is added to it so we can know what to focus on minimizing the risk of missing out.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Rockstar doesn't let their games stay on either PS+ or GP for more than 3 months it seems.

The PS Plus Extra catalog is becoming weaker with time (or at least, for the moment).

The games that are entering the service are less compared to the ones that are leaving, and most of those that were added are from a weaker quality (and notoriety) than the ones that left.

They need to tell players when the games will leave right when they are added.
What service does that? It’s called having better time management. If you’ve been staring at a game for over 2 years and never pulled the trigger you can’t be mad at them for when it gets pulled from a service.

Yeah I think it would be good if they had a leaving date on the PS+ store page so people can plan, but to be fair most of these have been on for ages so can't complain if they have cycled out.

I don't know many that give the date from day 1, but some (e.g. Netflix) will have a leaving soon banner on them. Would be good if they put that on with a couple of months left.

Yeah. Games leave every month.

I do feel like Sony should give us this heads up much sooner. Imagine someone starting Kingdom Hearts 2 weeks ago and expecting to do all games. Now it's not possible.
I didn't bother starting KH3 because I was pretty certain it was leaving, not sure if I read it definitely was, or whether someone just speculated because some other SE games left that had come on a month prior.

I'll ultimately just wait and buy it when it's about £5 now.

PS+ Extra always had a bigger rotation than Game Pass, it was like that since they introduced new tiers. At least they give you a month to finish games and that's enough for most games (might be a problem with a huge game like RDR2 though).

They need to tell players when the games will leave right when they are added.
It's going to make the service look less attractive and have people do research if they should sub now or later. Sony won't do that willingly.

Octopath Traveller was a nice exception in Game Pass with exact dates, but yeah, just an exception.

Netflix gives even less time with that banner popping up a week to two before a title gets removed. Prime Video gives you mere days before removing content with neither consolidating them into a general Leaving Soon section unlike PS Plus. This is a common complaint in these topics yet the same players never actively check the section. You have to be told that it’s there and this faux outrage follows.

That's rental services for you. You don't rent them indefinitely.
Correct. This is the exact reason I went back to just Essential. Too many games to play with not enough time, so literally a waste of money.

It’s great value for people with a lot of free time. I find it more cost effective to just buy games a la carte.
