This is absolutely true. Rich was losing weight, Mike was getting fat, now they appear to be meeting back in the middle.
I have a suspicion Rich's weight is connected to how often and how badly his purported back problems lay him up in a specific span of time, while Mike is "normal" in that he gains weight in the winter and loses some of it in the spring/summer, but loses less than he gains year by year, given he's clearly heavier than he was when RLM got big.

You don't have to write any parents and it instantly makes the character 'tough'!
My prediction has been:
Orphan, likely street urchin/beggar
They show young Han stealing from someone who deserved it. Maybe he transports someone else's stolen shit past the space cops, but even that is too on the nose. He almost keeps all the loot but gives some to a smaller kid and boom, smuggler with a heart of gold is born!
I hadn't heard about trouble for the movie they talked about at the start though. Sounds horrible
edit: also, mike is right about the costume. They are probably going to write a scene about his fucking vest. Why he wears it, where he gets it, some dumb shit.
